My bottle of Krystal Ultra High 36mg 20ml Batch number 090812 Use by August 2010 Is GOOD.
My bottle of ECOmix mixing liquid 20ml Batch number 090814 Use by August 2011 is BAD.
When you email John make sure you give him " as much information as possible, including the batch numbers and a description of the contents, colour, smell, taste etc Also, what type of bottle did you receive it in? "
It is important as we are all talking of different Varieties of Liquid i.e Rich/high Rich/Max ,Krystal etc.

If BOTH my Krystal and my ECOmix mixing liquid arrived in the same Type of Plastic Bottles, why is only the ECOmix Bad but my Krystal Good ?

I will be interested to see what the Batch Numbers of Briar's are as he got exactly the same as me from the UK at the same time.

Hi Briar
Could you give us the Batch Numbers and Use by Dates that are on your bottles ? In fact it might be an idea if anyone with Bad liquid post the Batch Number's and Use by Dates Along with the Product Name as some of us have Rich, etc.
dee

Unfortunately I don't have the batch numbers from the bad bottles of Rich I originally got from IV. I sent those back a looooong time ago. Haven't heard from IV since, despite writing to them. No promised replacement yet. Grrrrrrrrr

This is a shame, really. I'd have been perfectly happy ordering from IV. And Rich is my absolute favorite. I love the stuff. But I'll be ordering it from Terri at Cignot from now on. Thankfully, she will now carry both extra high and 0-nic, so I can make any strength I want myself. The stuff I got from her was perfectly good and tasted right. There is no batch number on the bottle, though.

BTW, I can't recommend Cignot high enough. Wonderful service, lightning-fast shipping. I love these folks. :)

And the Krystal and ECOmix I got directly from Intellicig was perfectly fine - they are not supposed to smell like anything, they are just for mixing your own flavors and strength. I like them.

But in case you want the numbers of the good stuff, here goes:
Sure. These are the batch numbers of the good stuff I got from Intellicig - Krystal and Mix that didn't have any smell, just as they were supposed to:

Krystal: batch #090812
ECOmix: batch #090812

Use by Aug. 2010

mine is alot lighter in color than the pics posted up in the IV forum and smells terrible...tastes terrible too...dont know what i should do with it though...ive tried ry4 and this smells and tastes NOTHING like it...very bad tasting

Yes, this sure sounds like the bad stuff I got from IV... If ECOpure is good, you can smell it right off, without even opening the bottle, it's got a very persistent warm sweet type smell with a characteristic aftertaste - the Rich stuff does, anyway.

The bad liquid smelled like a medicine or a chemical - reeky, upsetting type of smell, nothing like normal ECOpure Rich - and again, you can smell it pretty much from the bottle. You don't even have to vape it to tell. I only did because I'm a doink...

And yes, I know they are saying it's the nic. No, it's not. It doesn't smell *anything* like what it's supposed to. If nic does that to the liquid, they *really* have problems!

I was originaly told by Intellicig that yes, there was a bad batch, and that their chemist is investigating what happened. It sounds to me like several people got some of that bad batch, and IV is scrambling to figure things out. I don't know what precisely their problem is - it's just a matter of either replacing the bad product, or telling people that they have to figure out which is bad and which is good first... It's not like they are the ones manifacturing it. It's Intellicig who have the hard job here.

I'd still like to say that we shouldn't judge the liquid forevermore based on one such incident... I know folks either love this liquid or hate it... I happen to love it, so I'll wait and see until the dust settles, and for now buy from Cignot. They are fine, apparently.

Briar.

Away..
Sorry to hear abt all the bad tasting stuff.

I'm not a rocket scientist, but it appears that all the batch numbers were in the same time frame. This is just how my pea brain works.
090812 would translate to me as 2009 - Aug (08) - 12 the day it was made.

All the numbers I saw posted were 12, 13 and 14 3 days in a row.

I'm just guessing at this and hope they make it right for all of you.

this is weird to me because mine wasnt the 12th, 13th or 14th...i dont have a batch number on my bottle but i received mine on the 1st of august and it still smells awful...my dad got some and he liked it alot so im going to bring mine to his house to compare before i do anything else...i guess if his is the same as mine, then either its not bad after all and its just not for me, or hes a crazy ....

Ok we have both myself and Briar with Krystal: batch #090812 GOOD direct from Intellicig UK.
My ECOmix: batch #090814 is BAD.
I'd bet every batch #090812 ECOmix is GOOD.
In response to Vaporer's theory i agree but it could also be the Date it was bottled not made as one is Nic (Krystal) and the other is VG (ECOmix)
'Tis a puzzlement.

Unless the problem has nothing whatsoever to do with the ECOpure per se, but with the bottling end of the operation (ie the batch of liquid is made and passed by the chemist, but the problem is in the manufacture and sterilisation of the bottle itself, so that when the good ecopure is put into the bottle it gets contaminated) ??????

That could be it Angela. Let's face it. If you had just made a few litres of this Bad Stuff it would be impossible NOT to smell it. 8-o I can smell 20ml from two rooms away. If I opened a 2 litre bottle i'd probably pass out.

Away..
I was just looking at things the way I do.
The goods and bads that show now , comments on chlorine, detergent smell taste.... I'd have to go with Angela on some boxes of bottles that missed the final rinse. Wouldn't take much to notice an odor. Most companies use a 3 rinse final wash, or used to.
Last I heard was EcoPure was trying for certification so I'd think their people would be watch their processes very closely on the product.
Now add a new shipment of bottles that gets stacked with previous stock. The bottles could have a very small spot dry residual..a film not seen and have little to no odor till filled. At the filling they would be immediately sealed and no odor detected.

I have no affiliation with the company and this is all just speculation from what I've read here.
EcoPure could suffer greatly if this isn't resolved. Bad news travels 20x faster than good news.

Just thinking out loud,

some of this is bought by other suppliers and re-bottled into smaller amounts (like supplier buys a 500ml bottle from intellicig and puts into 3ml and 15ml bottles) so would this be the original product or the re packaging? i cant see 500ml being broken down into that many crummy bottles since people that ordered from IV and intellicig had issues...whats weird is that it seems no one from cignot had an issue...the one thing i can bet money on is that it probably wont happen again...just some growing pains and lessons learned

i will still try to get some ECOpure thats not tainted...ive heard too many good things about it to not give it another go

Wouldn't it also leave an oily coating in the lungs ? This can't be the same medicine "carrier" that is used for prescription inhaler (AKA Nebulizer) machines. Does any one know exactly what the name is of what is used as a base for inhaled prescription medicine ? That would be so important to know, in order to purchase the very safest product for mixing. I see that some members are Pharmacists. Can you tell us what ingredient Pharmaceutical Companies use as a 'carrier' for their inhaled (nebulizer) medicines ??

Albuterol Sulfate Neb Sol'n comes 2 ways in concentrated (0.5%) and prediluted(0.083%). Ingredients are albuterol sulfate(of course), benzalkonium chloride(0.01%) as a preservative, Sulfuric acid may be added to adjust pH(because of the sulfate salt form of the drug.) The diluent is plain normal saline(NaCl 0.9% w/v). The oily coating your seeing is either PG or VG. Propylene Glycol has been used as a carrier in asthma inhalers for quite some time. Glycerine(VG) is a natural organic molecule(the backbone of all fatty acids) and is perfectly safe as well. Neither are actually oils(both are fully water soluble). Also, neither leaves a coating on your lungs as they are both easily broken down into harmless smaller organic molecules, carried away in your bloodstream and excreted.

Today I received the replacement for the bad ECOpure 36mg Krystal, and the Mixer!!
Now this is more like it!! Fabulous, clean tasting clouds of vapor.
I must say this: We were very hard on Intellicig, perhaps, but I believe rightly so.

We all must be on guard to advise everyone when there's a problem, whether it's equipment related or juice related, and I think that happened! (reluctantly, even so).
But if from now on the ECOpure juices are this good and this high quality stands then all is well that ends well.

They were very generous, I must say, I received a few extra "goodies" for the wait on the replacements, and I know how expensive just the shipping was. Was worth the two week + wait. I also was very pleased with the response from Intellicig UK from both John Chamley and David Newns. I know the problem whatever it was put them back a pretty penny, and hope things are right now and they will continue to grow in their endeavor.

I am of the opinion that the true test of a company is on display and up front when some malady happens and they right the wrong appropriately and timely. They have certainly done that for my purchase, I hope everyone that had a problem is a happy as I am with the outcome. I didn't lose a thing after all is said and done, and really am glad to be an ECOpure customer.

I was even able to use the K36 to finish my DIY project to get a mix close to my ultra-favorite all-day every-day Johnson Creek Original juice in VG, the OLD formula! I think K36 was pivotol to making it work, a very mild tobacco flavored juice with a bit of nutty, caramelly taste. It seems perfect!
I am stoked! I now realize what work and expense it is to perfect a formula, make it work for you, and will never again be critical of a $20 30ml bottle of juice!
Thanks to everyone I think the worst is now a thing of the past.

Yeah, Krystal is good stuff. Wonderful for mixing. Wish I could do it justice - so far my from-scratch concoctions leave alot to be desired.

You are lucky you dealt directly with Intellicig. My experience with IV wasn't quite so happy. I'm out extra four bucks for shipping stuff back to them.

I love my Ecopure, though. :) Cignot is a good place to get it - fast, good price, fast response, no problems.

Cheers,
Briar.

Hi Kate,

I am awaiting my first delivery of K36.

I am very interested in how you have created this - any chance of the recipe? If you are able to create the old Tennessee Cured I would jump for joy!

Kula.

Doh! - just seen your post in DIY section.
