bad taste in iclear 30

The smoke coming off the coils is likely steam from residual water from washing out the iClear. You need to keep pulsing until you see all the coils start to glow orange. After that keep the pulsing under a second and repeat until the entire coil glows orange. When your are done you may need to wash out the iClear again to get rid of any residual ash but some people just blow it out.

Are you tipping your iClear every few vapes as peraspera suggested? Top-wicked juice devices are constantly fighting gravity, and the wicks are not absorbant enough to keep up with frequent vaping if you don't dunk them from time to time to get them resoaked with additional juice.

Not doing so, you will be burning a dry wick and getting a poor taste.
