Wanted to treat myself for over 3 years analog free. Decided to get a personalized license plate for my treat.
My summer ride is a scooter and I wanted a plate to reflect my vaping adventure.
Your allowed three choices in Manitoba with 5 letters.
First pick IVAPE, second pick ECIGS, third pick was my nickname SLOMO.
Just received a letter they refused the first choice and approved the second one.
Any thoughts as to why they would refuse IVAPE? Each choice required a short explanation for the meaning.
I told them it was a nickname. As for ECIGS told them it stood for Electronic Cigerattes. Go figure why they would allow that over Ivape. Has me baffled.

first issue is that it is Winnipeg DMV.......they constantly make up rules as they move along......the only thing i can think off right off the hop is that they probably thought it was for whatever reason related to illegal matters.....even though you clearly said it was not that, there was a person who was rather.....retentive lets say that they did not want to give you the first choice

Reminds me of a story of a woman who enjoyed tofu so much she wanted to proclaim it from her car's bumper, but her application was denied for similar reasons. The plate? ILVTOFU. At least I can see how that one would be taken incorrectly. IVAPE? Not so much. IV Ape seems the most plausible reason.

I like VAPE3 or VAPER3, myself.
