Found this on an insurance site (!) ...

HInsurance -E-Cigarettes help smokers quit, ban reflex and 'no harm' perception must be challenged

Basically talks about how many smokers couldn't quit until e-cigs came along, now everyone wants to ban e-cigs because they cannot prove zero harm and how ridiculous this is.

Ends with a quote from the President of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies, the last bit was really good :

As science walks a dangerous line between persuasion and informing, we must be mindful of society stepping in and requiring individuals to accept norms regardless of their own beliefs. In the case of cigarettes and e-cigarettes, history will judge us harshly as to how we answer this billion person question. It may also look back in anger at policy-making amounting to institutionalized manslaughter.

I agree it's a pretty good article, except for this bit, from some clown named Hartung: "Flavors added to some e-cigarette brands such as pop-corn or bubble-gum or even gin & tonic are a big issue and one wonders why they are there. What is safe in food is not safe if inhaled."

1, "why they are there," because they taste good, you total freaking idiot; do you want anything in YOUR mouth that doesn't taste good??? and 2, his blanket statement that they are "not safe if inhaled" is not proven, not known, and is a HUGE leap, an *assumption* that bears no resemblance to logic nor scientific research.

Really we can do without cheerleaders like that (since he clearly knows NOTHING about vaping or cessation of smoking), despite all the rest of the article's excellence.

I want to tweet this article, but that bit, I can't support that nor anything like that; it should have been edited out of the article, because it's irrelevant and not logical, it's merely a very uninformed opinion from someone who clearly doesn't have a clue what it actually takes to give up smoking, and really doesn't seem to care, with his "why are they there."

Something all of the FDA, BG, and the Vigilante groups that want to Prohibit vaping By Unreasonable Regulation:
