Seeing it already... little plastic pods, in parking lots and the park, the new cigarette .... of the new Age.

Vapors used to be the good guys... the ones who didn't leave their nasty cigarette butts all over the ground.

There's a bipartisan Bill working it's way around the Senate to ban pods and cartridge e-cigarettes and I hope it becomes law!
Teenagers love the easy convenience of the pods. Eradicating them, forcing adults to buy box mods (the horror! ;) For their refillable tanks wouldn't be the end of the world.

Limiting vape sales to vape shops was a good idea. Eliminating gas station and convenience store sales was a good idea too.

Putting reputable e liquid manufacturers out of business? Not so much... maybe a modest sin tax on e-liquid wouldn't be a bad idea. If we're lining govt pockets with revenue, maybe they'd leave us in peace....

My apologies to the OP on this thread, but aren't you just saying it's ok to ban what you personally don't use? Lots of us use pods and don't litter. I don't use flavors, but I'm against the ban because I know it's the start from which stricter controls will step up from. Enforce the existing laws for underage sales and the problem would be solved. Put a few of them in front of a judge with the their parents getting hit with a fine and things will change.

My husband is 58 years old and uses a pod mod.

Is he not allowed a convenient product because some rich parent can't parent their own child but rather, expects the government to do it for them?

My husband didn't litter as a smoker, he used to field strip his butts and put them in his pocket until he was near a trash receptacle to properly dispose of them.. and he darn sure doesnt litter now..

Your OP is unenlightened at best..

First they came for the smokers and I did nothing because I wasn't a smoker.... some day, there will be no one left to fight for what you do like if your unwilling to fight for freedom for all..

Well, based on the FDA'S regulations for PMTAS, open systems will be gone and closed pod systems all that's left. If those are specifically banned by law, then there are 0 vaping products legally allowed on the market.

As to sales in vape shop only, given recent flavor bans in NY and MI, that'll be tough. Here in NY virtually every vape shop is going out of business in the next 10 days as the with the ban on flavors they have nothing to sell as only 10% of their revenue comes from vape gear, 90%% was from juice.

The problem is quite a bit more complex than perhaps you realize.

I disagree with many opinions here on ecf myself and believe the op has a right to be heard.

Op has the right to be heard, and we have the right to disagree.

Litter is not going to stop if pods are banned. Every week I pick up glass and plastic bottles from my yard, plastic grocery bags, Skoal cans, candy and snack wrappers. Some people are jerks. And some jerks vape.

you can sin tax my lily white ... after you tax the churches and health clubs - maybe have a little lie down in the meantime
All rested. I'll bet one of my mechs that the Feds will start taxing e-juice permanently in 2020. The only question now is how much. The Vaping community needs to be involved in that conversation instead of sticking our heads in the sand and pretending the whole thing will just go away. I honestly don't think that's going to happen this time.

If we are to believe the FDA and politicians (which I don't), everyone needs to find out WHY the kids are vaping, and figure out how to at least limit the sources. I don't believe for a second that its because they like the flavors, they like the high nic buzz they get from "Juuling". Places like Ebay and Amazon sell ecigs without age checking. Every kid knows an adult that will sell ecigs, alcohol, pot, or other drugs to them so even stiffer penalties for these crimes need to be enforced. Maybe offer some immunity for having kids giving up their sources.

The reason they say that they want to ban those pods is because with some work they can be refilled... So now they want to ban ALL refillable components as well. The absolute last thing we want is a ban on pods. What they want is an all-on-one disposable unit that cannot be modified.. Like the Mojo MOJO You think pods are the new cigarette butts, imagine these all over the place.

Pods are the paper-plates, or cig-butts of the new-vape-world.

Not green. At all. Particularly the single-use variety.

Environmentally, a disaster. Just consider the chemicals and energy needed to produce them, and the environmental impact. Not only the trash.

But that won't fix the problem, because the problem is control of the nic market.

Because they're kids.

I was joking with @Katdarling last night, and said something (IN JEST) that I would never post to one of the large social media platforms, because the world has forgotten the concept of satire.

I figured out a way to stop teen smoking. We simply need to "eradicate" all children when they reach the age of 12.

For posterity, I repeat that THIS IS A JOKE!!!!!!!

Outside of that (JOKING) "solution", I do not believe there is any way to stop teens from being teens. I know this much; nothing was going to stop me from doing the things I did. :|

They ban pods what will my wife vape? She doesn’t like mtl tanks so is it back to smokes for her?
If someone likes mtl pods, I see no reason why they wouldnt like mtl tanks. Is it simply the size ? As for the actual vape, you should be able to get the same, if not a better vape from a mtl tank.
