I agree. I believe Taiwan is litter free but I don't want to live there.

As with Just About Everything in life, it only takes a Very Few to screw it up for Everyone. Not sure why Taking the Time to throw a Pod in the Trash instead off on the Ground should be Any Different?

But do we want to Live in the World where everything is Banned because of a VERY Small percentage at the Expense of the Overwhelming Majority?

If we do, I'll give you that it will be a Clean World. But that will be because almost Everything has been Banned.

There are then cities that take that trash and put it on a barge, and then dump it in the ocean.

Further, it took energy to make the one-use pod.

Actually, the green-argument is GREAT for those of us that want to keep our reusable tanks. Ammo, of sorts.

Not to Play the Devils Advocate here on the Green angle...

But I wonder How Many 30ml e-Liquid Bottles ended up in a Landfill Last Year?

And those took Energy and First Use Plastics to make also. Right?

Never let a fact get in the way of a good green argument.

I DIY so I don't throw away bottles unless they go bad. I guess you could say DIYers are the greenies of vaping.

Yeah... I do Also.

I have been using the Same 250ml Glass Bottle for "Pre-Mix" since about 2011.

I did replace the Cap that came with it in 2014 or so with a Poly Cone Cap. So I guess you could say my Non-Green Footprint is pretty small.

LOL

Problem with the green argument for vaping is it creates a much smaller tax base, we only need consumables such as wick, wire, orings, etc..
They'll probably just tax the nic, eventually.
Meh. As long as they keep it cheaper than cigs, I suppose "they win".

So called "sin taxes" have a place as a deterrent but not as a punishment NOR should they be a legit source of revenue stream for government. That's not supposed to be their point.

And punitive damages, are supposed to go to those that are damaged. Not the attorneys and not the general fund.

And slapping "sin taxes" on things usually hurts the impoverished/middle classes the most. So with caution.

I know, I'm an idealist.

Sure. But less. Also, they're easily reusable.
Pods are much more complex to produce. Add a chip in them and wow. (BT won't like this post).

Let people consume what they want, and let nature take its course and sort out the problem. You want to vape this shady THC juice with vitamin C acetate? Go for it.
Just have everything with transparency, so people know what's at stake/risk. If I want to drink some industrial bleach, or eat a tide pod, or vape some nic juice.. well, that should be my freedom to do so. But I know that I'll most likely die if I eat a tide pod or drink bleach, so I don't.
Living with accountability, they don’t teach that anymore ha ha but I totally agree with what you’re saying.

True...

Things like this Aren't Binary. And there are Pro's/Con's of varying degrees in many Columns.

Exactly. Many factors, and few if any legitimate absolutes...unless you out and out ignore realities of things.

And this is Why I have such a Problem with Many/Most of the Elected Officials/Policy Makers in the this country.

Because they tend to Only present a Portion of the Factors that go into a Policy Decision.

Say for example that ALL Pods were Banned:

What would be the Public Health Impact to Smokers having One Less Option to Quitting Smoking?
What would be the Impact on Current Pods users?
What would be the Impact regarding Black Markets?
Where is the Publish Quantitative Studies/Data that shows Banning Pods would have a Significant Positive Impact?
etc...

You would think these would be Pertinent Questions. But you don't seem to see much of this type of Dialog openly discussed.

It's all freezing over here in Kentucky, I agree with this statement, generally speaking.
