Been trying to perfect an English Toffee recipe using Lorann's and am running into a huge problem. Here is my recipe:

1.3ml 60mg nic suspended in PG
1ml 100% pure USP VG
1.7ml 99% pure USP PG
1ml Lorann's English Toffee (20%)

The flavor seems to wick right away so I get all flavor and no vapor in the first few drags, and then it changes to massive vapor and no flavor. I'm assuming that since the flavoring is thinner, it is wicking immediately and then the PG/VG mixture follows. I am using a KR808D-1 with disposable cartridges. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

This is really beginning to frustrate me! I have mixed several different batches. I have played around with up to 50% flavoring, no VG, as well as different percentages of VG and although some mixtures work better than others, all of them suffer from this same problem.

Thanks in advance!

I have found that the best thing is to make up your batch in a small bottle. Once you have it all together put the small bottle of mix into a bowl or cup with hot water for a few minutes. Be sure to leave the cap off your mix so the bottle doesn't build up pressure. Once your new juice is warm put the cap on and shake the heck out of it. Let it cool and refill away. A little bit of warmth in your juice will help to get your parts to blend better and stay blended.

Thanks for this! Works like a charm!

I've been doing mine in a small bottle and shaking the crap out of it...I don't "think" my flavor is wicking off.....

Hmmm...might have to re-visit this possibility when I get home this evening.

Hi HippyGirl!

This little tip did do the trick. I wasn't shaking my mixtures near enough I guess, but the heat does help. The English Toffee is the first I've had this problem with though. Contrary to popular belief, I still think that 40% is still about right for ET.

Update: didn't work. I just got excited and didn't give it enough time. Same as before. Now I just get nice solid flavor and vapor, then it begins to taste like a crayon. I refill the cart and it still tastes like a crayon with hardly any other flavor, even when mixed at 40% English Toffee. Any ideas of what this could be?

You know, I'm beginning to think our beloved English Toffee just isn't a viable vape?

Let the wailing and rending of clothing begin...

I've noticed the loss of flavor with my strawberry cheesecake, too. Since it's obvious there's still a decent amount of the flavoring in the bottle I've been chalking it up to defective taste buds on my part, with a suspicion that my attys might be stealing the flavor for themselves.

I still get some flavor, but the initial vapes from a new batch are always intensely delicious.

I'm going to try the hot water trick and see if it will help with my juices.

Adding in 1ml of vodka or any high proof alchohol will help it to mix better and stay mixed. I always add 20-40 drops in my mixes and have not had this problem.
Hope this helps

1ml in what size batch? 1ml in a 5ml batch would be 20% and I assume would be way too much. Also, I forgot to rinse off my syringe with water once after a vodka rinse and got a very strong pepper flavor in my next mix. Does it add this pepper flavor to the liquid?

Sorry, that would be 1ml to 10ml or 10%, never experianced a pepper taste, but then again I use everclear (pure grain alcohol). Will get a better throat hit IMO :)
