Yeah...this thing is a game-changer. It's incredible.

As for the LED meter readout, this outdoes that in my opinion by taking a simple user interface and integrating it with LED's for each voltage in a .10 increment. Just as logical, but much easier than screwing with turning knobs or screws.

I am just not feeling it. I keep reading posts with almost fanatical anticipation and
I can see the appeal of the design it has a very techy ipod type look, never going to be the cup of tea of people who do not like plastic or box mods though....I prefer wood but that is just me.
but...there lack of range of the VV..never going below 4v
and there is something scary about an internal pump, from someone who has worked with pumps, as the juice feed system...I think I would rather have the slightly more basic but ultimately more durable Reo/ali'i system.

oh and the price tag :p

However I can see where this could appeal to some people...that little front wheel is certainly cool looking in its own way.

1. It's made out of some of the hardest aluminum (I forget the actual grade) and is annodized. So it's MUCH sturdier than a Box Mod of any other variety.
2. The pump is warrantied to start with, with extended warranty options available. You can also help maintain the life of the pump with regular cleaning cycles.
3. It's not a "wheel" per se, but a touch input. You don't turn anything, nothing moves. It's all capacitive much like the screen on your iPhone or Android phone, though the display is not glass.
4. Seeing is believing. I'll be the first to admit that the size is large. That being said, there is NOTHING like this on the market and won't be for some time. The level of thought, craft, and design that has gone into this are second to none.

I totally get what you're saying, but I'll be in line for one of these once they go on sale! I have a Reo Grand...but the Reo ain't got nothing on the Eclipse.

yea it does.

The REO GRAND is all mechanical....it will likely NEVER break down.

Not falling for all this techy stuff. I want reliable. Just swap an 18650 batt every day or 2 and pop on a new LR510 and good to go.

These arn't iPhones...the circuitry and juice mix will cause failure.

Oh, I'm sorry. You were at VapeFest and saw the device? You've seen the internals? My bad.

The Reo is a great device, but there are other feeders that work great on the market as well. Mechanical doesn't equal 100% safe and reliable.

The level of sophistication and safety that has gone into the Eclipse is unparalleled. There's a LOT more than a simple collapsible spring going on here.

You sait the REO had NOTHING over the Eclipse

Wrong.

The GRAND is all mechanical.

Kinda doubt the Eclipse is all mechanical.

If you're going to argue that the failure rate and long term reliability of an all mechanical is the same as a device such as the Eclipse then I'm guessing you got a free Eclipse.

The Reo is NOTHING like the eclipse. It's a simple device for simple people.

The Eclipse is variable voltage, and true juice fed. No hand pumping required. It has passthrough capability and a touch interface. Call me when the Reo catches up to that little bit of technological advancement.

If it's not for you, it's not for you. Don't ruin the thread for the rest of us, and .....

Are you Judith K.?!?!??!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

As far as reliability, most feeders can and have broken down also, I for one have had it happen!:)

I think it was a great review and about a device that I have been really interested in. I'm not wild about the size and form but I don't think that would stop me from buying one - if they are truly reliable. I like mechanical Mods too and have a few - very reliable. I also have non-mechanical which have, on the whole, been fine. I don't have a mechanical computer though and it works reliably - so I don't think technology and reliability are mutually exclusive.

Thanks for the vid Basil! Get me on the list!!

The "looks" to me are well received, I think they nailed it when it comes to ergonomics. Sure looked like it fits the hand well, in addition to having proper button placement. The bottle placement, being concealed is a great feature, keeping your juice out of the light and away from the elements. It's pretty amazing all the killer feature they packed in.

Good Show Digital Ciggz!
