Batteries 2nd hand?

Bought a 2nd hand job lot from ebay. Its arrived! Got the mod I wanted plus 2 tanks and some cotton and wire. He sent 4 lg 18650s as well. should I dispose of them and not use them?

Check them with a volt meter. If they charge to full and hold, why not use them?

Ok thanks @Jdurand I personally use 25r and VTC4 batteries and so I have no idea what authentic lg batteries even look like. They could just be rewrapped or bought from a bad company. Just wondered. Thanks

Brown wrappers, if they still have the original wraps. They last much longer than both of those batteries you listed as well. I have used all three and the LG outshines them both.

perhaps a clear picture of the wrap and post a thread in the battery sub-forum might get some more help? Maybe at least a proper ID on them cells could put your mind at ease.

No they are definitely a reddish, pinky mauve and they haven't been rewrapped by the guy. They got text printed on

As said - Charge and Test.
Let stand 24 hrs. and re-read voltage.
4.20v charged ans 4.18 after 24hrs. should easily be in good condition.

Battery savings -$22-$28 Dollars, depending on supplier
