How about these new panasonic NCR18650PD 3.6v 2900 mah batteries? Anybody try these yet? fasttech has them for 15 dollars for a 2 pack.

That's the highest mAh high drain I am aware of....

I use AW ICR (protected) batteries in my mech mods.
If you want to use SLR coil atomizers though a high drain battery would be a better choice, but you need to be aware of your charge status.
As to protected bats the 3400 mAh Panasonic or AW ICR's would be a good choice.

Are those panisonic batteries considered "IMR" (For my Silver Bullet)
Is there a 16350 recomendation (for a Vamo)?

You can use an IMR battery in your Silver Bullet, but the recommendation is as above for mech mods. ^^^^
There are Panasonic protected and High Drain (IMR) both listed in this thread.
For 18350's I have and use both AW and Efest IMR batteries.
The AW's last a bit longer than the Efest bats despite Efest's claim of a higher mAh rating.

Gotta chime in here with a question...

The CGR18650CH Panasonic batteries in these two links have different lengths indicated. One is 65mm and the other says 66.9mm. That's quite a big difference and may cause problems in the Natural mechanical mod I have... especially if it's actually 66.9mm.

I do understand that vendor information is neither here nor there most of the time. And it could very well be that the 66.9mm is for a button top battery vs a flat top. However, I can't tell from the vendors pages.

Can I request that someone who uses these batteries measure and post the actual length of the batteries they have? If you have both flat and button, can you please post both?

I bought 4 and they worked fine. But one full charge only allow me to vape one 4ml tank (is it normal, I don't know).

But the battery looks well-built.

... I bought 10 (ten) 18650 batteries on ebay for $16.. delivered. They all work perfectly. They are flat top, I understand that some of the PV's require a button on top so that may be the only issue. Other than that: totally generic, I am not sure what "protected" actually means so I am not sure if they are or if they are not.
I have been using lithium ion cells for about 5 years in multiple applications and I have found zero performance difference in generic brands. Everyone gets a bad cell on occasion, but when they only cost $1.60 each it does not bother me at all disposing of it.

Stick with the CGR1650CH 2250mAh , 10 amp discharge Panasonic for the Zmax. The 18650B (2c discharge) and the 18650PD (3c discharge) will not give you sensible longer runtime, and they won't be able to provide the needed amps when you want the best out of the zmax. Perfomance-wise, the second best cell from panasonic is the 18650PD. If you vape above 10-10.5 watts, you have to use 2x18350 anyway.
B and PD are much better if used in a dual 18650 mod.

Same battery (18650CH) or AW 1600 for mech mods.

Efest used good cells to get a quick reputation and then moved on to using random cells, not worth bothering with that company.

I also ONLY buy batteries from trusted vendors, the market is flooded with counterfeits. (cheap unprotected Li Ion batteries with IMR wrappers on them)

One is measuring the button or flat on top and the other isn't... They are the same battery...

Those are the ones I'm currently using and they good batteries. They last me 26-28 hours vaping at 6-8 watts.

Yes, AW IMR 18650 are awesome. I go to RTD for those. Have two in cycle now for my Zmax.

I would say I can get about 12-14 hours the way I vape on each battery from 4.2 to 3.3 Volts (My zmax V2 cuts the battery off at that point).

How I use it: 1.7 Ohm burning pure VG, anywhere from 7-14 watts depending on how hot I want the vape to be. My avg wattage is 7.5 to 8.

ICR and IMR are both Li-ion batteries. The differences between the two are well discussed on this thread, but both are Li-ion.
