Lemme get this straight, 1 AW CR123a for little chuck, a pair of the same to vape at 6v for Big Chuck

and then the 18650 to vape at 3.7 for big chuck?

Right?
Check your volts. The 123s come in 3.0 and 3.7 volts. You use the 3.7 for a Little Chuck.

As I understand it, if you use a pair of those on the big Chuck, you'll be vaping at 7.4. But I'm not buying a big C so I'm not possitive. You need a big C owner to chime in.

So I got these from Lighthound AW IMR16340 550 mAh IMR CR123 size LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery and was posting to another thread about batteries, and realized that I don't think this is the protected one. I went back to LH and sure enough, it is not listed as protected. Luckily I only bought 2 of them, so I guess they will have to be spares or used for something else. I don't know if I should use them in my PV. I did order protected ones in to have in their place, but now I have 2 brand new AW batteries that I don't know if I should try using to vape with. Maybe I should buy a flashlight that takes one 16340 to use them in that instead.

I have a question, maybe it's already posted somewhere, which way do you put the battery in the little chuck? + to end cap or - to end cap?

The AW LiMN battery you listed is similar to the LifePO4 Tenegy batteries, both do not use a PCB (protection circuit) but use a "safe chemistry".

Here is the description:

Description Safe chemistry LiMN 3.7V rechargeable battery is now available in R123 size. These cells can handle high amperage and is safe to use in series / multi-cell applications. Can be charge with any LiIon battery charger with 4.2V output.

I don't know how "safe" they are or how they compare safety wise to protected circuit batteries, but I would guess they are as "safe" as the others. Meaning they have a smaller chance of blowing up. I would still use a multimeter to check on any of the batteries, protected or not.

Batteries go in from the bottom with positive side facing up (toward the top cap).

Thanks :) I don't have a multimeter yet, but plan to get one soon. I have no idea how to use one, guess I need to do some research.

Get a digital one. Set it to Direct Current Volts (check the manual), then put the + probe one the + side of the batt and - probe to negative. Make sure your charger isn't over charging your batteries.

You can also use them to check the resistance of your atties.

for the Little Chuck, you want the 18350 battery (3.7 v) that you can get at Madvapes. They last considerable longer than the 16340 3.7v batteries. The CR123a batteries you are talking about are 3.0 v batteries, so I don't think that will be 'strong' enough with 1 in the Little Chuck.

I saw my mistake, confused the 123's for the big chuck.

Three different batteries I need. Want to be able to vape big chuck with both options plus a couple sets for the little chuck.

I am jotting this stuff down, might just print out a bunch and going to take it to the battery store.

I basically flunked the battery class here. Probably have a D+ going in the atty class.

Someone should put together Chuck Kits for Dummies.
Buy this package for 6.v -list exact battery, make and model along with charger make and model along with recommend atty
I know they have been listed but when I go to the dang website I get more confuddled because they ask about chargers and spacers etc.

Buy this for 3.7v.....

Buy this for little Chuck.....

and then don't let anyone add comments about changing stuff or multimeters or ions and tenergys and aw's and maws and so on....

I am trying but I just cannot get into the whole battery thought process.
Usually I am not this stupid but when it comes to electronic stuff, forget it. When it comes to batteries, I can stick them in and turn on the switch...if I can't get it to work after that, I throw it, cuss like a truckdriver and get myself a new device.:-x:lol:

I am taking my notes and going to the battery store, won't be in stock but they are local enough. Hoping the dude behind the counter knows his stuff.

Edit to add: I understand which sizes, that I need 18350's at 3.7 for LC and 2qty AWcr123's for 6v and an 18650 for 3.7...it's all the other stuff in regards to brands and types that has me so conFinfuddled.

Amy, if you have a battery store, you're in good shape. I live in Manhattan and I couldn't find a local place.

Print out the first post in this thread.
Circle which Chuck you are getting.
Bring it to the battery store and tell the guy you want those batteries, in the PROTECTED version, and a charger that will charge both sizes (or separate ones for each size.)

ETA: Get at least double the number of batteries so you'll still be vaping while one set is charging.

ETA: Also tell him that the LiFEPo4 or LiMN versions of those batteries would be good.

That's what I will do Poeia.
I am off today, just need to find the motivation to drive over to Elgin. Usually just want to vege out when I am finally off of work. Lot's to do and the kids killed the washin machine so I have to go get some quarters and head to the laundramatte (at least I can vape) They killed it good. Need to find the screw gun and see if it something didn't get stuck where it doesn't belong after I figure out how to drain the dang thing. I can't figure out batteries but I have figured out how to take the warsher apart, go figure.

AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery - New Version

hopefully my copy paste thing worked.
So this is my list except I have two different 18650's, not sure if I get the 2600 mah or the 2200 ones.
I have the 123's at 3V's for the Chuck
and the 123's at 3.6V's for the little chuck
I am assuming the 123 charger works for both
and then I ordered the other charger for the 18650's
????
I just want safe batts and want to make sure I am not vaping any higher than I think I am suppose to.
Did I get it right?

You need someone who has both sizes to answer that. But, when you put your order in at Lighthouse, enter CPF in the discount box. It's only 2% but it's better than nothing.

The threads at CPF all say that Lighthound doesn't give much in the way of discounts. Instead he has great customer service. So, if need be, call or write him as well.

You are a fountain of information! I was just searching for a coupon code for them.

Edited to add: If someone could verify my above order and let me know if I got it all okay, I would be thrilled. We just watched the Wrestler on DVD, Mickey Rourke's face gives me nightmares...I don't want to have anything happen to my face, might not be perfect but after seeing that movie, I don't want to have anything happen to my face that would cause me to need reconstructive surgery.
