Battery Questions for Megalodon

Afternoon all,

So, I'm fortunate enough to have a Megalodon on my way from another ECF-er and I also have $40 gift credit from Amazon.com.

I was wondering if there was a specific type of 18650 that would be best for the Don?

I have two of the 5v custom ElectroNicStix batteries coming with it but wanted to have some back-ups.

Amazon only seems to have Tenergy: Amazon.com: 18650 battery

Any ideas or should all of them work as long as I get protected?

Awesome thing about the don is any batt will work with the adjustable button so yes those will work. I would recommend high drains though. Excellent batterys. If your not planning on using those 5v batterys I'd be more than happy to swap/purchase them . Waiting for them to come in stock sucks lol.

I have a Don...you can put any battery in it you like. I use a 18650 3000mah.

Hah, I DEFINITELY plan on using the 5v - when I first got really into vaping my first mod was the original Puresmoker and 5v was definitely my sweet spot.

These days I use a Darwin but I wanted a good back-up.

I'll look for some high drains. Just wanted to find some on Amazon since I have that credit.

My orange IMR 18650 was not working with my new version of megalodon even with the switch adjustment was positioned to its full position, while the black AW protected 18650 works great. I noticed that the IMR is shorter than the AW. Any suggestion? tia.

Yes Rotsen. Hold the button down in the firing position, you may think its screwed in as far as it will go but give it a good nudge more and it will start firing. it will actually screw past the stiff part at the end.

I'll just hijack this thread instead of starting a new one. Two questions: will flat top batteries still work with the Don (such as the AW P18650-2600mah)? And what is the largest battery that will fit the mini-don? 18350s? 14500s?

Eagerly awaiting the new batch, looks like a sexy little/big beast.

The Flat tops still work, you just turn the screw till it seems to "stop" then give it an extra turn good to go there. and yes the biggest batt in small form is the 1200 mah 18350.
