Hello all. I've been reading the forums for a few weeks and I've learned quite a lot here. So first let me just say thanks, ya'll have been helping me out for a while without even knowing it.

Anyway I'm about to buy some new batteries for my set up, and I have a few questions first.

I'm vaping a Kamry K-1000 pretty steadily. I've added an aspire BDC tank. Overall it seems to be a pretty decent set up and stylish too. From what I gather this is strictly a mechanical mod. My coils use 1.8 ohms I think, but don't have a way to test that. From what I understand this won't stress a battery much anyway.

I've got a couple batteries that are working great but they are ICR batteries. And I'd like to get some IMR batteries and a nice charger. So I'm planning on buying four 18350 IMR and a Nightcore Intelligcharger.

My question, after all this, is what would be the best 18350 to get. How's the purple efest vs. the AW? Does mah equal how many draws i can take or the overall life of the battery? If my 1.8 ohms isn't stressing the battery, is it practical to trade output for charged time? And will i hurt my battery by taking long draws of 15 or 20 seconds?

Thanks in advance.

The AW batteries are a great recommendation, and if you buy 4 of them and rotate the usage should last you a year or two.

The difference between a ICR and IMR battery is not only how high of amperage each can produce while staying under the recommended maximum continuous amp draw. The big difference is how each type battery reacts if the specifications are exceeded, or the worst case scenario - a dead short. The ICR will vent flames and possibly create a pipe bomb out of your mod, the IMR don't vent with the same explosive power and give a greater range of safety.

ICR batteries are fine for flashlights, (not near your face) that you can drop or throw if something goes wrong.

I've been using both AW and EFest for a couple of years, and they really seem about the same to me.

The Efest purples are great if you're planning on using lower resistance coils, but the ordinary red ones are just as good at 1.8 - and a bit cheaper, too

:danger: FYI -- there are problems with some of the EFest purple batteries. This link is from Baditude (our resident battery/safety expert): Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised

I realize that -- that's why I said "some".:)
I posted that then hopped in the shower. Half way through washing my hair it dawned on me that most if not all Efest batteries are re-wrapped. Guess it took some cranial stimulation to get me thinking this morning. My apologies.

No apology needed!

Baditude just got his blog post together consolidating all the warnings we know about concerning purple EFest batteries. I'm just trying to get the message out whenever I see members talking about using purple EFest batteries.:)

Yea, I have that link! Unfortunately, it's hard enough to get most members to even read 2-3 links (as evidenced by the questions they later ask). I save that one for members who "really want to know more".:)

With a good battery and tank I can't imagine you would still need draws like that

That's how I draw a real tobacco pipe. Just loooooooooooooong low slow drags. Always have. Not every puff. But I don't take any under 5-10 at the least. I've been timing them. I'm pulling a drag in with my tounge while at the same time exhaling a lungful thru my nose, and I can do it indefinately, honestly.

Also do a lot of smoke tricks. Blowing rings, etc.
