Be sure to check the height of the wire in the blank carts!

I got a box of the white premium carts yesterday and proceeded to fill one up. As I started vaping on it, I noticed a foul smell and taste after about 3 tokes. When I took the cap out and looked inside, I saw a brown burn mark close to the wire where it loops around and also a burn on the underside of the cap. That's when I realized that the wire at its loop around point was up way too high in the housing and hitting the underside of the cap. I pulled the cap out halfway and it was still frying it!

I rinsed it out and cleaned it after this debacle, but I am pretty confident that gently pushing everything back down into the chamber will fix it. I hope. 8-o

Let me add that the cap didn't actually get melted since the brown stuff rubbed off. I imagine that it was wet enough in there to prevent that from happening.

Electra,

The wire that loops up and over is a power lead. It isn't the part that gets hot, and is insulated anyway. The brown stuff that rubbed off was most likely just liquid. Maybe some burnt liquid that got sucked up from the atomizer. If the cap had been burnt, it wouldn't have rubbed off, wet or not.

As to being too high, that's just part of the varience of hand assembly. SOme of them have the wire a little higher, some a little lower, some have the filler wrapped higher on the wire, and some have it wrapped lower.
