just a question for all entered in the contest do you experience other vendors, ecf or elsewhere that interact with customers, fellow vapers or customers to the degree that I would like to think that I do? just curious

What I have noticed overall mostly in the vendor contest realm is when a supplier first starts a contest, they are on top of everything...saying hello, welcome, giving answers, info, chit chat, etc! Then as the contest goes along, or after the first or second one, they then are rarely around. I'm not saying this as a negative per say but I've always thought of how hard it would be to keep up on this, to a full time level of watching, reading & posting all day long & to not be able to get anything else done, as I know in my realm here at ECF, I put off so many things I need to do because I spend so much time here! I would think the secret to it all would be to have some others here that are good with everyone, to help & oversee everything, along with the vendor coming & going and you all can get other things done & still be able to interact as you please! I think this kind of personal interaction gives everyone that's entering, the ability to want to do more too, instead of just speeding through to get those posts in & leave & hopefully win & then that's it...you'll never see them again, or who knows I guess But I think you do a great job here & with Kathi & everyone here, it's one of the best going I think & I appreciate all of this interaction as well! Sorry for all this long windedness but that's what I seem to be into today...Long Winded Speeches!!!!  :vapor:

Thanks for the great feedback Count! Good to know the difference in dimensions and the fact the battery is bigger on the 50w istick makes it appealing. The smaller ones are likely not a good fit for my hand.

Interesting that you had some faultiness with one of your mvps. I kind of forgot that I have a situation with one as well. I say forgot, because I've stopped using the bad one for the most part. While my original one still works great and holds the charge quite well, another mvp2 that I bought in October does not hold the charge as well anymore. From a full charge, it goes down to 3.9 almost instantly and the rest of the capacity goes about twice as fast as my other one. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't be so enamored of my mvps after all! LOL

Oddly enough, the MVP that is still working for me is the first one that I got back in April or May. The one that died is one that I picked up in July or August. Maybe it was a QC thing?

I seem to remember that there was a while when a lot of people with newer MVPs were having problems with them not holding a charge as well as some of the older ones. Maybe they started using a different brand of battery, and it wasn't as good or something?

My MVP 2.0 is a year old, and it still works. I'm not sure it works as well as it did back when I bought it or not, but a year is not bad!

NOW Just for "YOU" - "My" Friend . . . Although, not really a new "Winter" Avatar, I've changed it to something (I Hope) just little more interesting to look at for a few weeks . . .

Nice new avatar Uncle, now it makes me think about spring, instead of old man winter!

Yeah, I agree, picking things out on sites would get old fast, if it was for every contest, but I never got tired of the chit chat on the other contest thread. :)

Thanks Tick!
yea I had to send you something to play with of course that world has changed and if it were today I would send you a quite different product Ha Ha!
I do however have a box of those Chinese frustration puzzles stashed away for anyone daring enough to try, heck if you can learn to rebuild on a A6, trident, patriot or nimbus then the others are a piece of cake Ha Ha!

Laughs, heck yes, everything made now is cake compared to those early ones.
But I learned and now the rest are easy. Still use those older ones, for test tasting mostly but like I said, Old school still works....

The VTR uses replacable IMR 18650s....biggest drawback is their size and weight...you can use them for some forearm curls between puffs....

DUH @ me . I have a VTR, Actually I was vaping on it right before I typed VTR. I meant istick. I love the weight of the VTR for a work mod. fits in the side pocket of my work pants too.

All the venders have to work as well as most of us here. The ones that seem to care more about their customers and their contests or threads, visit off and on during the day and some even spend a good hour or more at night visiting their threads. really it does not take alot of time to check out your threads. I mean some of us here work our butts off but we find some time to visit, be it for a bit or a quickie. snickers, who doesn't have time for a quickie.... snickers.. :)

I know of some that do just that, check their threads answer stuff and just hang for a bit...
Again, most are more chatable in their home threads but they may not run many if any contests.
I think those of us that have been here awhile know who they are.

Kathi If you want to try some just let me know and I will send you some

Thanks Bruce, but I think I'll stick with Kanthal! Rebuilding isn't my favorite thing to do, but it's a necessary evil if I want to get the vape I want. I think I'd rather stick with what I am used to! :)

One of the best deals and buys i got from Bruce was the Flip V3.

it really does, what's the term?

Oh yea, hits like a freight train both vaping and if you need to defend yourself..... :2cool:

I mainly use it with a dripper due the the constant voltage drive.... :)

it chucks the vapor man!!!!!!! :vapor:

Yeah, I got the same deal, and you are right, it does hit like a freight train and chuck the vapor!!! :D

I've been a big kanger fan since I started vaping (still use my protanks all the time) and plan on getting the Subtank when I can. Happy to hear you ringing endorsement of it! Just curious about your mention of the kbox (since I don't know much about it)...is your sigh meaning that you love it or hate it? Ha! Sorry, I couldn't tell!!!

It's kind of an outdated device. It's able to only dial in certain wattages. I can't remember all the specs, but it's not very interesting compared to other devices available now.

Don't really know why, but I perfer the batteries that I can change out than waiting for the day the lipo dies. Like with the 808s and egos batteries, I had lots of luck with most of them but some seem to die faster than others and their life is limited no matter what. Yes batteries have to be replaced but the unit does not, unless a chip or something goes bad. Why I have my mods along with everything else.... mmm 4 track, 8 track, reel to reel, Phonograph and LP records as well.... I hear the phonograph is making a come back due to better sound quality. snickers. Old school is the best school....

I prefer replaceable batteries to internal ones too. Devices with two 18650s have just as great battery life, a lot of them will charge with a USB cable, and can be used while charging, plus, it's easy to carry a few spare batteries with you.

I hate the fact that some day my MVP will be no good because I can't replace the battery. None of my egos or spinners lasted very long.

Have a stripped screw on my Lemo... kid says it was pretty much that way when it arrived but now completely missing the threading in places. He found a screw from something else that he put in there and life is good as it is one of my favorites. Guess that is why he never liked it. Don't think I have heard of any others having this problem so just figure it was only mine and something we found a work around for. If they weren't so spendy, I would get another.

PB... my Toasted Marshmallow arrived today. I don't like my juices real strong so where do you think I should start to do this as a stand alone? Does it need any steep time?

Some do, most don't. Not sure I can mention names of those that do, but some are as good as you in their chatting and just relaxing with the posters.... Others post their contests and that is it til it's over....

Yeah, and a few never post! I have only bought from sites where the vendor chats in the thread. If they never bother to talk to their potential customers, it feels like they aren't really interested in us.

I'd rather buy from someone who feels like a friend. :)
