just a question for all entered in the contest do you experience other vendors, ecf or elsewhere that interact with customers, fellow vapers or customers to the degree that I would like to think that I do? just curious
not really.....I think you are one of the few who do this consistently.....I see your posts daily..but sometimes I spend so much time reading I don't get a chance to reply....or other times I just like to read what you & other have to say

Thank You Blue and thanks for being a part of the contest, your Owl is due to fly in on Monday, weather or ? may hold him back till Tuesday but my usps dates from the post office are pretty much right on. Hoot, Hoot

So I was looking on the site. Figured if I won I would try to sneak an order in past my wifey. Did not see any wire, do you carry it?

Bruce has alot he does not list on his site due to space concerns. Just ask him like you did and he will get back to you. You can also PM him or talk to him in person using that old school thing called a telephone. I hear he even has one of those new thingies called a cellular phone and it may even be a smart one at that. snickers.....

ok, time for an entry post.

For a great little workhorse to use with anything, this baby fits that bill and used all the duo kanger coils, so you save money that way as well.

Kangertech T3D BDC Clearomizer

be careful if you use with a APV, it is not rated for high wattage....
works well with your ego, spinners and mods as well. great little clearo if you want to know what your juice taste like without filling a bigger tanks.

yes, a dripper and most old clearos do taste real different....

For those that are just starting out. the rest of us know that.

Everyone has pretty much answered "Your" question, however I would like to add that - IMO - having this attitude and perspective to connect to your customer base really makes a difference between a decent/good vender and a GREAT Vendor for almost all of the people here on ECF, especially to those who are struggling with the "Transition into the Vaping World" for a number of reasons . . . THANKFULLY - I have meet a few of them . . . AND - From personal experience, I for a fact know that if there weren't for the ECF "Family" I have gotten to know well and venders like yourself who have gone out of their way - I probably would not be continuing to be so determined to become a "Full-Time" vapor . . . Just Sayin' . . .

yea, as a registered supplier my ability to swim is limited. been whacked many times by the mods for posting what I thought was an innocent comment. also I cant swim in the new members pond.
I have learned to just stay in my corner and behave Ha Ha!

As many people here can probably tell Ya' - I've so . . . BEEN THERE ! ! ! ;)

I would agree with all the people who have placed you at or near the top of the list for interaction. It's always good to learn about the person (or people) behind the products you are purchasing, I think. It also helps in the sale: when I consider an item for purchase, the vendors I check first are those with whom I've dealt with in the past. I think to myself, "I wonder if so-and-so has it on their site," and check those sites first. Price is important, yes, but I'm willing to spend a little more if I know that the person (assuming there is a person--with some of these sites, you'd never know) selling it to me will stand behind what they're selling and would be willing to work through any problem, should one arise.

All of that said, I know I have not purchased from you in the past, Bruce, but now that I've gotten to know you (both through this and the last contest, as well as on the chat thread), it's only a matter of time before I find enough loose change in the seat cushions for me to go shopping again... :)

SO DITTO ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ What He Said . . . ;)

ya need to say howdy now and then! We're gettin younger everyday! lol I was the baby when I first started goin in there a few years ago at 48, but there are some younger than that. We've never checked ID's. But......the purple recliner is mine! lol so everyone knows, we're just a social group, not affiliated with any vendor.

YEA - I know . . . :thumb: AND - THANK YOU for the invite (some others have also tried to entice "Me" to take a seat on the porch too ), however given the tenor of some of the conversations - and being the "Old Curmudgeon" that I can be at times - I really think it is better if I stay in that tree just "lurking"
70555232_p.gif
, especially when I can learn so much from all those other "Curmudgeons" . . . ;)

Ah, kathi how do you klnow this?:D
Thanks for including me in the group. I keep forgetting there's the other cactus page
haveing such fun here

OKAY - You "Cacti" are Very Very Bad . . .
5bf230635101440c776402e32c87e55a.jpg

AND - NOT NICE to leave "Us" all in the dark by not providing a link to the other thread for anyone that wants to become a "Cactus" here:

I blame Uncle for all these mint tobacco flavors... got this idea to try to find him his perfect mint tobac... in the process, found that I really enjoy many of these so called tobac flavored juices and that to find him his juice will probably be something that will knock me on my keester since I prefer all my juices on the mild (tame) side. Amazing how things work at times.

animated-smileys-shocked-002.gif
"ME" ? ? ? ? ;)

Anyway - THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU . . . I really do appreciate "You" going out of your way to assist me in finding a "True Menthol Tobacco" to become "My" ADV and help to finally become a "Full-time" vapor . . . However, "MINT" ain't gonna do it - nor even come close, especially since almost every "Menthol" I've tried out there is made with some form of mint that just doesn't work for "Me" . . . That's just one of the reasons why this has been so hard to find an "E-Liquid" with a "True MENTHOL" Flavor . . . They all taste very sweet and similar to the supposed menthols like Salem's/Newport's/Winston-Marlboro-Camel-BH/etc. which I could never ever stand even when I was desperate for a cigarette . . . NONE of them tasted or had the "Menthol" like "Kool" cigarettes . . . Even though I will probably never find anything like that "TRUE Menthol" I would like to get somewhat close to it . . . BTW: I also try to avoid any "E-Liquid" that has "diacetyl", "acetoin", and any "Suger/Sugar Subsitutes" too . . . NOT GOOD ! ! ! Especially for those of "Us"' with Diabetes . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;) AND - that's is why the search is so difficult . . . Thankfully, I have a number of ECF "Friends" like "You" trying to help me find one and I do have some "E-Liquid" flavors I can use in the meantime . . .

I've found every vendor I've ever ordered from through contests. I figure if they are giving to the ECF community, then they are worth supporting! :)

SO DITTO ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ What She Said . . . ;)

Those of us further north would appreciate it if you would not PIF the snow this time....TIA.

To be honest - While personally I would really like to share and PIF to "You" - I'm sorry to say . . .

NOPE - NA DA - NOT HAPPENING ! ! !
shaking-no-smiley-emoticon.gif

At least not right now - "You" just gonna have to wait, since it's been too cold down here for the past couple of days since you all keep sending down that "Artic Blast" . . . It was in the 30's at night (Broke records here) and it hasn't warmed up yet . . . So - Maybe when "We" get back to "Normal" temps Ya' can have some . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Okay - I think that's enough, at least for this post . . .:tumble:

Nothing else to read here - "You" Can All Move Along . . .

So many good questions, interaction and information has passed through this contest.
Thanks Bruce, Kathi and all involved in this thread.

also on my juice mixes. I use most of thiem depending on what I am using as a topper. Started out using 70/30, PG/VG, thern 50/50 as as I got more experienced and the toppers got better, went as far as Max VG. Since I don't have any problems, (I am older and even if I did, I wouldn't know it) Depending on if dripping, or what type of tank or clearo I am using, I stick with 50/50, 40/60, down to max VG which is normally is 20/80 or 10/90.... I do hear some have found a way to do almost 100 VG, but have not tried any of those....

Have wayyy too much snow out there so will stay inside where it is warm and make a few more juices.

I did Inawera Tobacco Menthol at 1% and the menthol knocked me for a loop. Not bad and has that slight cigarette ashy taste even fresh. Ended up adding a bit of Double Chocolate Dark to it :D

"You" might want to try some Licorice also and if not already added Kolada to that mix too . . . ;)

And - Then if "You" like it - and wouldn't mind, please let "Me" know what the recipe is . . . I took a look at the ingredient list for "Kool's" (Kool Super Long 100's Box: http://www.rjrt.com/brandcompounds.aspx "Ultra- Lights is what I use to smoke until they took them off the market) and it included both Cocoa & Licorice in the mix . .. So - "You" just might have created what I've been looking for without knowing it . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

I fully understand. I've never felt the urge to spend $20-30 for drip tips, no matter how nice they look. And I still haven't heard any concrete evidence that the shape of a drip tip affects anything but comfort at the mouth. But for the few dollars I believe Bruce sold those tips for, I might take an interest. I might also consider a drip tip made of a softer material than metal (I've poked my lip or hit my teeth with the metal tip on my aeros and that's not fun), but many of the delrin-type tips I've seen are either very short or have very small bores.

thats whats nice about the little boy, Dark Horse and some others, they have the delrin mouth piece/chuff prevents lip burn and tooth chipping

1. Today, I'm going to go with this atty. I've heard great things about it here and from a couple of friends that have it. I'm just getting started with the whole building coils and using a rda thing. I don't enjoy building coils that much, but I do love the flavor and the ability to try a flavor out and not be stuck with it if I don't care for it.

Dark Horse RDA

they are a great rda. comes with 1 tip and 1 chuff, the thing can be arranged for multiple air flow choice options, very easy build and great performance, it is by far my go to daily atty

I think it was only eligible to buy since the end of January. I saw the review the beginning of jan. It looks a lot like the Atlantis but holds 3.5 ml of juice and has the organic cotton coils which is the reason it struck my fancy. I also saw a review where they claim the Atlantis coils work fine in the melo also which is kind of strange but a good thing if you have both tanks.

Hmmm, interesting of course the Kanger coils are OCC. I know that the atlantis replacement tanks just came out recently and the Kanger replacements are coming soon so I imagine the Melo will also be more popular in the coming month

I've not purchased drip tips separately either since, luckily, all my tanks have come with them. I do believe that some give a better vaping experience than others and am particularly enjoying the one on my kanfun lite clone - smooth and long with a nice texture. As your post suggests, many of the more popular tops come with nice drip tips that it makes it easy for those of us not inclined to buy them separately. It is good to know that some decent drip tips are only a few bucks, but I see a lot that are super expensive. I'm also of the thinking that $25 for a tiny bit of stone, metal or plastic is way overpriced, but to each their own.

And the Dark Horse gets more enticing!

Of course after I got the bill, I had to go back to the web page for their phone no and I read all their fine print and it said nothing about the $129 charge at all so it was out and out fraud. It did say something about sending cartridges every month if you would like but I figured you would have to sign up for it.. In hindsight, I should have taken it up with my credit card company but it was a debit card and I didn't think I could to that....it was a lesson well learned especially since no other cartridges would fit it and they were right...none ever did. It is funny because after I wrote that review I hunted up the case they gave you and it had the web address listed on it so I went to the web page figuring it would be defunct but it went right thru...but they are no longer saying it is free... Now they are charging $89.99 for that 1 little ecig that looks like a cig and tastes horrible with little smoke compared to a PV. and glows red on the tip. You probably have to pay s$h on that price but I didn't check....they are still sending out the same kit. I have no idea how they stayed in business.

indeed a company like that figures they can trap some fish in their nets and make money off the unsuspecting and unknowing, they obviously are out to make a buck and not to help with anything.
many people are desperate to quit and will fall prey to things like that, many only to give up down the road and believe all e cigs are like that and never go near those waters again, thats what really gets me aside from the extreme over pricing

I have the urge to spend $20 or so on a drip tip but can't afford it. I do however believe that drip tips do matter as much as any other piece of vape gear... that includes the juice. The diameter of the air hole can give a heavier or more concentrated vape or can make it fill the mouth in different ways. The length can warm or cool a vape. It can also help you get the most out of the coil you are using. I know with a couple of set ups that if I use a small inner diameter tip that I will end up burning the coil in a matter of no time and if I use a wider inner diameter that I can actually prevent burning if I pay attention. I personally prefer a Pawn or gourd shaped drip tip or a vase type... all over 1 inch for mouth comfort. I notice that with the wider tips that I tend to not get my mouth completely over the tip but I use the wider ones when dripping as easier to hit the hole when dripping. Don't care for metal tips as they heat up on me too much.

If you have a few different style/length/width tips, why not try a couple hits off one then try that same juice with a few others and see if you can notice the difference I do?

It is true that Diameter and length do make a difference in flavor temperature and vapor, finding that spot for each device and flavor can be a challenge at times

And therein lies the crux of the dilemma: unless one has a variety of drip tips, such an experiment is nigh-impossible. The drip tips I own are all from tanks that have removable drip tips--cone-shaped ones from Evod Glass, tube-shaped ones from PT3 Mini and Aerotank v1, and kayfunesque bullet-shaped ones from Aerotank Mega, Mini, and v2--as well as three cheap plastic "ming"-style drip tips I picked up on a whim to achieve free shipping (and that cost me a grand total of $1.50). This selection hardly lends itself to true experimentation, as the experience is similar across the board (with the exception of the plastic drip tips) because the tanks are so similar.

Great! The posts I enjoy the most are ones like this. Some people love watching cat videos (I do too), but getting the first hand details about the life changing effects of vaping never gets old. I also have all the zippos and ashtrays stocked away in a cabinet along with some loose tobacco and rolling equipment from when I used to make my own ciggys. I should probably toss that stuff out!
oh, no, no museums in the future will want them and like my old record albums it funny to show them to anyone under 30 and see the expression on their face when they say "what is that thing" Ha Ha!

A big plus for sure. I can't tell you how many glass tanks and even mods have fallen victim to my uncoordinated limbs! I appreciate when tanks come with spare glass or even a steel one (I can't break steel!) or even when attys or mods give lots of extra screws and o-rings. For a small cost, it is a much more useful and all inclusive deal.

seen people put o-rings or rubberbands around their tanks to help prevent breakage when dropped, sometimes it works and other times it does not:confused:

This is so true. I was lucky to have a friend and my brother who got me started with the right vaping products and advice, but it was this forum and all the people ready to help that have been the ace up my sleeve. I remember asking such silly questions and still being confused about what tanks fit with what batteries and there were so many nice and understanding folks who helped me.

I don't know how successful I would have been with vaping if it hadn't been for ECF. While I was really impressed with that cheap ego knockoff kit I bought, it didn't work very long at all. Luckily, the day I bought the kit, I googled it and found ECF. By the next week, I had a spinner, and an MT3S. A week later, and I had another Spinner and a Protank 3 to go with them. By that time, none of the stuff from the kit was working, but I was okay because I had the Spinners and better toppers. If it hadn't been for ECF, I probably would have had nothing but an expensive kit that didn't work, and I would probably be convinced that vaping doesn't work!
