See for some of us you can leave out the cotton and the 26 gage, the smallest I go with wire is 28 and I can not vape with cotton wicking. I found this out the hard way and the rash on my neck area is still clearing up.

I think that is probably why there are so few kits out there. Everyone has different needs, so one size doesn't fit all! :)

Son tried me on cotton once... burnt it in under 3 minutes... no more cotton for me. I can burn rayon too. Silica not so much but I seem to do best with wire mesh :D

Snowing like crazy out there, think we have about 8 inches of new stuff already. It looks like we will get the 12+ they were talking about.

You really don't need to send all that snow to us Joan, we are getting it tonight and tomorrow! :)

I've never tried the wire mesh, even though I have some. It looks intimidating to me. I know that a lot of people really love it though.

I enjoy everything about vaping and all of the wonderful vaping products that are so much fun to use, collect and even look at for their beauty. Drip tips are beautiful and I see so many people talking about their love of them. I have not, however, been able to justify spending so much on something so little and with so little function for me.

I have the drip tips that came with my protanks and my dripper and they are fine for me. That is not to say that I wouldn't collect a bunch of beautiful tips to have some different looks and feel if they cost just a few dollars. But most of the ones that are attractive to me are much more expensive, and I would rather buy new juice or equipment with that money. I guess what I am saying is that "I get" why people love and collect them, but for me, it is the cost versus function that keeps me out of the market for them.

I agree. Bruce has the best drip tips at the best prices I've ever seen. That brass and glass one is the one I had in the picture I posted of the Big Buddha on the ego 650.

I really want some more of his tips!

I do know why he took them off though, they were slow sellers, and he was out of space on his website, but I wish they would come back!

I have all of the tips in your post, and I love them all!

PS...I don't want this to come off as judgmental. I appreciate that most vapers love to buy and collect them. I think I am in the minority here and just wanted to express my opinion :)

My first thought was "please tell me that is not true"!! But, come on - it sounds like something right out of their playbook. The lengths that industry went to and still goes to in their evil pursuit is astonishing.

It is very true that outdoor activity and good weather can make a big difference in quitting. The days go by faster with all of the added activity, plus something about the sunshine helps too. Compare that to staying cooped up in the house in freezing, dark weather and it is obvious which would cause me to smoke more.

Yeah, it is such an obvious thing that there is no other way of explaining why they switched the date. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that it's easier to quit in the good weather than the bad, especially when there are holiday parties involved.

No offense taken. :) I have never bought any expensive ones either. The ones Bruce has, are in the 2.99 - 3.99 price range, and are all very good quality. It makes it easy to just pick one out when you order, and it's not expensive that way. (Although I did an order of a bunch of drip tips and nothing else once, because I couldn't pick just one).

A different drip tip can really change your vape!

Anyway, I can definitely understand about buying a $25 drip tip, when you can get a nice piece of equipment for the same price or less. I'd rather have the equipment!

1. Today, I'm going to go with this atty. I've heard great things about it here and from a couple of friends that have it. I'm just getting started with the whole building coils and using a rda thing. I don't enjoy building coils that much, but I do love the flavor and the ability to try a flavor out and not be stuck with it if I don't care for it.

I fully understand. I've never felt the urge to spend $20-30 for drip tips, no matter how nice they look. And I still haven't heard any concrete evidence that the shape of a drip tip affects anything but comfort at the mouth. But for the few dollars I believe Bruce sold those tips for, I might take an interest. I might also consider a drip tip made of a softer material than metal (I've poked my lip or hit my teeth with the metal tip on my aeros and that's not fun), but many of the delrin-type tips I've seen are either very short or have very small bores.

I just went thru over 200 posts here getting caught up since I was last in here last night and now can't remember what most of them were.

Seeing that some of you don't torch the kanthal is good to know. I had read and had people tell me that it was needed. Now that I have the coil master and can get better coils with it I give it a try without the pre torching.

To me it depends on the gauge. The smaller ones, like 30. 32 I preheat just so it keeps it's form, 30 to 22 I attach it and fire it up on the base, then do what I need to do to get it to burn right before i add rayon, cotton or rayton.

mm, hope that came out right... sheesh

I believe I have head of it once but yea, I havent seen one first hand. I will check and see if I can find one.
I went and looked it up and it does indeed look alot like a subtank / Lemo I am sure it will be more popular soon.
do you know how long its been out?

I think it was only eligible to buy since the end of January. I saw the review the beginning of jan. It looks a lot like the Atlantis but holds 3.5 ml of juice and has the organic cotton coils which is the reason it struck my fancy. I also saw a review where they claim the Atlantis coils work fine in the melo also which is kind of strange but a good thing if you have both tanks.

This is so true. I was lucky to have a friend and my brother who got me started with the right vaping products and advice, but it was this forum and all the people ready to help that have been the ace up my sleeve. I remember asking such silly questions and still being confused about what tanks fit with what batteries and there were so many nice and understanding folks who helped me.

What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story?
When I first came to ECF, I was amazed by the numerous people who are so ready to help newcomers.
