I might as well go for the expensive stuff as long as it is my last day to pick :(

I am not a math whiz, but 9 and 2 could hold special meaning for the prizes maybe? 9 first place prizes and 2 second place? :p

As more and more things break on me I am finally starting to avoid the lower end, poorly constructed vape products. All of my kanger tanks still work fine, but the clone ones I got a bargain on from China (knockoffs) all leak and are falling apart. One of the middle tubes fell out of one!! I love a bargain, but I have learned my lesson.

One more thing about sealed box mods. And this probably goes for a lot of things.

A really good sealed box mod is good, many benefits.

But a cheap poorly made sealed box mod is worthless, regardless of life or cost. Example? My Beyang 30w. It does not remember it's setting, and if there is any interruption between the atty and the Beyang, the resistance could change, and it resets to 5 volts! (at the calculated wattage.) I vape my kayfun at 9 watts. But sometimes the Beyang will suddenly read the resistance from 1.6 to 1.8, and jumps to around 17 watts!

(the problems with the beyonce, er, beyang is it doesn't remember the setting and reverts back to 5 volts. I think it was rushed into production to ship before the Chinese New Year. They should have waited. Or I should have waited for something better.)

I guess the same could be said of a garbage empty box.

As Stosh says, there are reasons both ways. But a quality device will always trum a cheap POS.

Shawn: The empty box mods gives you the option to change out batteries instead of finding someplace to charge it. I have around 9 different 18650 batteries charged. ready for whatever mother nature throws at us.

To whomever was asking about the Kanger Subtank. I saw a youtube video where they put in a newer style kanger aerotank dual coil in the subtank.. You can get those up to 1.8 ohms. You can rebuild a older style kanger dual coil to whatever ohms you want and use it.

just a suggestion to those with tanks with O-rings. If you wash and dry them you should lube them up some before reassembling the tank. If you don't want juice on your fingers put a few drops of plain VG on a paper towel and press the O-ring on to that. A little dab will do ya.

Ok folks back to work for me. have a great afternoon everyone.

Ok 9 and 2
92?
Someone gets an extra prize for remembering Oertel's 92 beer?
The total number of shiny things MrOwl has stolen?
How OLD you really are?
The number of days to get a fasttech shipment?

It must be that, or that my tank just pushes the connector down through the threads. This would be even worse if it is the case because once they get stripped it really becomes useless. But I already seldom pick up this mod lately because I don't want to deal with the hassle, which is a shame since it is my newest and most powerful mod!

You are sure right, if they were built like that it really does defeat the purpose!

I think the screw-adjustable pins sometimes turn when a topper screwed/unscrewed in--which kind of defeats the purpose, if you ask me.

When I type that, I'm reminded of Posto Nove. I used to live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana have zones named after the lifeguard posts. Posto 9 is in Ipanema, close to the bar where "The Girl from Ipanema was written by Jobim and de Moraes.

Yes, I had a beer in that bar. Yes, I was 16, and waiters didn't check the IDs of americans who tipped.

I don't know why I am fixated on this particular dripper considering I rarely drip! I guess I am a flavor vaper and since this one is supposed to be good for that I keep this one in mind for a purchase. Plus I keep seeing people saying that they love theirs.

I think that is so cute! I bet it works good :)

Ok, I give up. Actually, I already gave up once when I read Life, The Universe and Everything, and again when I tried to understand the 1040 long form.

I even went back and read posts 1 and 2 and 6 and 3...

I guess I understand more now regarding battery boxes vs. sealed mods. That said, I still don't understand the pricing. I can get an iStick 30 for around 40, and the Sigelei 30w mini is also around 40, but you have to spend another 20 before you can use it... much more if you have to get a charger, too.

On another topic and back to the what I want to see in the store. An o-ring kit with replacement o-rings for basically any tank. I have several now, and one is leaking, but I can't eadily find o-rings for it. Should I just head to the hardware store? Will rubber o-rings even work or do I need silicon or...?

Either style will work well, depends on your likes and needs, in general.....

If you have stacks of 18650s and a few chargers laying around...empty box
If you only have one or two mods and want to switch batteries easily when they need a charge....empty box
If you like a built to last mod....empty box
If you can envision using the box to build your own mod....empty box

If you can use you mod as a pass through (have power available)....sealed system
If you have more mods than you could use the charge in a week....sealed system
If you want the simplest to deal with....sealed system
If you want the added amperage a LiPo battery give you....sealed system
If you like chasing the latest, greatest, without breaking the bank...sealed system

I've opted for a number of both types, and they both serve their purpose quite well.....:vapor:

That sounds like a good analysis between the two as I was wondering the same thing. My question is with something like the sigelei 30w mini. Box mod that has a removable battery and also a USB port....how do you charge the battery? Must you take it out to charge it or can you use the USB? Or can you do it either way? Also with a closed battery....what is the normal length of time of use? Did anyone ever have to throw the mod out because of a dead battery? I really don't think I've heard anyone complaining about having to throw it out but I might not be looking in the right places?
