I love my ipv 2x. Wish it had magnets for battery cover, but otherwise it is great. I may be one of the few that don't want/need the double battery, which is one of the reasons that I chose this mod. I have enough trouble keeping track of all my batteries without having to monitor a "married" pair. But I know for others it is a big deal.

Not a bad review for box mod @ 50 watts or less, dont agree with all of his analogies.
the sigelei 50 watt I do believe is a great box
in the past few weeks I have joined the "you dont need 100 watts or more" category and is why I really like the IPV2X and the sigelei 50 watt however I do wish they would make one of these 75 watts or less boxes w/2 18650 batteries

I couldn't wait to get a jig when they first started to appear on the market awhile back. I love mine too, but the bigger issue for me is is not so much making the coils but installing them in tiny decks with tiny screws. My reading glasses and fat fingers are no match for these treacherous things! I feel like I am one of those model builders trying to build the boat inside the bottle. Some are easier than others, obviously, but the hard ones are vexing!

I got one of those coil master jigs and just tried it today - best coil I ever wrapped.
Did it faster.
It was tight, even and straight.
I was amazed at how easy it was and how good it turned out - definitely beats the other methods I've tried.

My first experience making coils was for the protanks and evods. Now I do what you do. I don't bother to build those when the true rebuild-able attys are so much easier. Although still a pain sometimes! I also keep all of the old kanger heads cleaned and ready to be recoiled, but I haven't in a long time. Must have a container of 100 of them!

I've never rebuilt the coils on my Nautilus or my Kangers either. It just seems so much easier to build for RDAs/RTAs. I only use the Nautilus and Kangers (except the subtank, which I use all the time), when I am on a long trip and don't have time to rebuild. They are handy for that, and I have to buy coils so infrequently that it doesn't matter. For the rest of the time, I use my rebuildables.

It's funny though, I always clean and save my used prebuilt coils just in case.

I like the ones with holes a lot better than the ones where you have to trap them under screws. The ones with screws are a real pain!

I agree. Love when I have the option for the holes and I always try to utilize them except when they really don't line up with the airflow (like on the Kayfun 3.1).

This red Unitank is my most favorite tank with my latest puckmod box....I used a 2AAA box in front of the 4AAA box so it's light to carry around....It has the on/off switch so it's perfect for taking out...

There are times I think I am vaping wrong because I just can't let the wattage go very high before it feels too hot and burning. Everyone else is going higher and higher! What would 150 watts be like when I often need to move down my setting from 10 or 11 to 8 or 9 watts? With my kayfun lite I seem to like it just under 10 and I have 20 excess watts with my 30 watt device!

Yeah the Kayfun Lite is a great tank. It's another of my favorites. I agree about 30 watts being plenty. I've never set my E-Mech above 25 watts.

I set it to the point where the juice I am vaping tastes the best, and where I am satisfied with the amount of vapor. If I set it too high, it just tastes burnt, and it uses the batteries too fast! I'm vaping a coffee and cream vape now, and the sweet spot seems to be at 20 watts. The flavor is great, and I have to wait for the vapor to clear before I can see the computer screen.

That's in a Subtank with the stock 1.2 ohm coil and a 60/40 pg/vg juice.

I used to have as many flavors going as I had tanks. Since I had cheap plastic tanks I had lots going at once! Now I find I just vape whatever bottle I have open and usually stay with that one flavor until the bottle is finished. Unless it is a huge bottle. I am not sure why just lazy maybe?

I find it interesting that a lot of people have just 1 or 2 flavors that they use all the time. I can't do that. I like to have a variety close by and change up as I go thru the day.

May I borrow your son a couple times a weeks please? We all could use someone to be our coil builders, but you actually have one! By the way, I have your 1 month taifun debacle beat. After my first MVP started to die I bought a new one. I put it on the back of my car while I put some bags in the back seat and drove off never to see it again. The day after I got it!

Vape Gear... said I would mention other tanks that I love. Did the RSST already.

I love my Lemo tank.. my son.........who builds my coils.........hates it. He says the build is not difficult but that he just feels the quality isn't there and he tends to leave that one for last when tank cleaning day arrives. I love it, it vapes great, great flavor, no leaks, GLASS tank and holds a decent amount of juice.

Lost my little Taifun that I loved to an Arnie Palmer juice. They don't make replacement tanks for it and I had only had it for less than a month. Love the Taifuns too... son prefers the Kayfuns. Guess it is a kid thing.

I vape wrong but again, there really is no right or wrong. I don't take long hits or inhale into my lungs, I puff like a choo choo train for a few minutes or until the tank and device starts feeling warm in my hand.

I won't go off on my love affair for drip tips but changing your drip tip can have a great effect on your vape. Longer ones cool it down, the material they are made from makes a diff too... the metal ones tend to get hot quicker for me than do the acrylic ones. I don't use any tips under an inch from where it goes into the tank and have one that is over 2 inches long.

Tick...yes.... Cactus is where I got all the batteries for my devices and my son's too. Love the efest batteries

I have a box the size of a large flat rate box that holds all my DIY stuff, that includes the empty bottles and such. Everything is in there except my bottle of nic, which is kept in the freezer. I have a small drawer that has a couple Vision Spinners and a couple MVPs and a smaller box that holds all the bits and bobs they send with tanks, they are in plastic baggies marked as to what they belong with. All the other gear that I bought since starting or won that I don't use has been PIF'd to others. Even the juices that I won got sampled and then sent on to others with the exception of one I kept for myself.....Bobas...... and some that were just nasty beyond belief. I started 9 into vaping last year and for awhile there they were like little birds in the nest. They have now left the roost and I have also cut back on my contesting. I just see no reason for keeping things that I know I won't ever use again and that someone else might.

Remark.. luckily, my pocketbook has a cell phone pocket on the outside. I don't own a cell phone so that is where my vape device has to fit. The E Mech fits in there, Bought parents iSticks for Christmas and then got one for myself... keep losing it..but if not for that little pocket, I am sure that I would have lost or broken several devices by now.

Kid builds my coils and I make his juice. I think that is why he likes me using the RSST with mesh... all you do is rinse it out and then light up the coil to clean it off then rinse again and ready for new juice. I put it on so that when I ring the device to my mouth to vape that it tilts in the direction of the wick and life is good.

Well as I'm starting out here today, I believe I'd like to try out this Bad Boy! I don't have a 26650 Mechanical Mod yet and I would think that this would be the one and since you can use an 18650 also, it sounds perfect!

When you are as old as me, new friends don't come around that often, so it has made a nice difference in my life. Especially having someone that lives right by me.

In fact some of my old friends are dying off on me the last few years. Many good things have come through vaping.

You're not wrong at all, if you like the flavor and vapor your setup is producing....it's working properly and at the correct wattage.

I know what you are saying and I am with you Stosh...it just makes me wonder what everyone else is seeing in the higher wattage that I don't. So many vapers are talking about how they love their 150 watt devices and my jaw drops open at the thought! LOL

Don't discount the Orchid completely, it really is a wonderful RTA. I still love mine, but save it for my non fruity and non cinnamon vapes. I'm very, very glad I have it! It's great to have glass ones with tank crackers, and just switch toppers when you want to change to a different type of flavor.

A lot depends on the type of plastic used for the tanks. My Vivi-Nova tanks are over 2 years old and have been used with my DIY Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit juices with absolutely no cracking or scoring, even if left sitting for a week.

My Orchid has been used with my Lemon, but are always loaded with my go to flavors. Menthol-Mint, Espresso or Coffee, Absinthe and some sort of Tobacco, not sure if any are "tank crackers" but they are my ADV.

I have had but one tank ever crack on me, it was an old AnyVape bottom coil I had tried a while ago, never replaced it. The plastic used was noticeably different, clearer and more brittle, even before adding juice.
