The stitching is standard two needle stitch with beeswaxed thread. I do it that way so if a single stitch were to wear out or get cut, the remaining stitches will still stay locked for quite awhile. More than long enough to re-do the thing.

The sandwiching is from the flat back being two pieces of leather on either side of the clip mount. This keeps the clip & rivets from scratching the PV.

So each stitch for both needles is going through 3 layers of leather.

I don't make wimpy stuff. I'm from the school that you spend the time and money the first time so you never have to do that or spend that again.

This is also what kills me when doing house remodleing... Stinking bathroom took me 10 months, but it's a thing of functional beauty that will be good till long after I'm dead.

I was wondering about that first mesurment Rosco??? I have a Buzz with a 510 atty. and a drip tip and it is 6- 1/32th". Is the stiching called "sandwiching"?? Nice pic!!!!

That 4" is with Nothing attached to the 510 connector.

I don't do attys very often. That 7.5" is actually with the eGo-T. It would probably be 7" with just my carto's and drip tip. When using the eGo-T, I have to use a 510 extenstion. I really don't mind a bit of extra length anyway, just for the "whatevers".

The sandwiching is when the rivets and clips are placed in between pieces of leather so that there would be no chance for the metal from the rivet/clip to abraid or rub on anything. Much cleaner look as well. In fact, it's a sign of "good design" as far as I'm concerned. You would not find this in a "cheapy" type of product cuz it takes more time and effort to do this.

I agree, it's a real nice holster for his Precious- and for my Buzz.:thumb:
