Being discreet

I vape as if I was smoking still, this even extends to my office where vaping is allowed. I think part of the reason for that is I love the flavour of some of the liquids I have and would chain vape otherwise.

Interestingly on vacation I vape more than usual (I used to when I smoked also) and then would maybe vape somewhere smoking isn't allowed. I don't however do it discretely but at the same time I don't try and draw attention to myself either.

What are you opinions on being discreet with vaping? I know you shouldn't vape where you can't smoke.

I was at a restaurant today waiting outside for a table, and I see two fellas out there vaping like they are the coolest kid on the block with their shiny mod's.

It just seemed kind of absurd IMO, but I guess as long as smoking is allowed outside in the area it's fine. It just looked weird, as if they were trying EXTRA hard for some attention that they are not just smoking a regular cigarette.

Opinions??

There must be 100+ threads on this subject. Many of us advocate vaping openly just about anywhere BUT respectfully. The last place many of us want to vape is in smoking sections. Smoking was restricted due to the concerns (dubious at best) about second hand smoke from a safety standpoint. There are more than enough studies that show second hand vapor is safe for those near by and well respected public health professionals who agree with these studies.

Acting like vaping is the same as smoking and presenting the perception to the uninformed that it is just as dangerous, only harms the vaping community.

Vape openly but respectfully.

I'm extremely new to vaping about 1 month in and I have a 900mah eGo c-twist and I am loving it. i quit smoking in Oct of 2012 and I find that people are very curious and tolerate of vaping and I enjoy it where ever I am unless as another user posted its an area where smoking or vaping will be frowned upon.. i.e. areas with kids or very confined spaces. Due to the vast array or vaping gear and the awesome flavors I think more and more people are glad to see vaping occurring to replace smoking.
