A few weeks ago, I got an MVP 2.0 off of ebay and two weeks after I received it, the grommet under the center pin was pushed under and misaligned it causing it not to fire. I contacted the seller to return it, they did not answer. A few days after that, I opened a claim with ebay, suddenly the seller sent me a return address and a tracking number for a replacement. I couldn't get to the post office until the following monday. So, this past wednesday I get another ebay message from the seller with a 2nd tracking number for a replacement. Today, since the first one for some reason got lost or some deal, I got 2 MVP 2.0s in the mail.

Normally I opt to do the right thing, but had the seller done the right thing and responded to my return request without me opening a claim, I'd have corrected their error.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You should take the high road and tell the guy you're willing to send the other one for the price of shipping. He may just thank you and tell you to keep it.

lol.. You realize the center pin issues was probably your fault for tightening it down too far.. Sometimes the sellers cannot get back to you as fast as you like, but filing a claim and keeping 2 devices seems extreme..
I dunno man.. It's the petty acts that makes me lose faith in humanity.. This is a 40 dollar device we are talking about here.
If I was going to do this, which I wouldn't but if did I sure would not open a thread on how your just ripped off the vendor..

I agree

If the seller loses faith and trust in the buyer, they may not extend any goodwill in future.

It's your call of course, but I'd just ship the "free one back" and feel happy it was resolved.

Ebay sellers are not usually businesses even if they trade as one, you can't expect the same level of service on an auction site you would expect from a high street retailer. This maybe wrong, but it's just the sad truth in all honesty. They upheld their end of the bargain, albeit slightly longer than you would expect from a high street branded retailer, but you got the result in the end. Now it's your turn.

IMHO

Hope the new device works and vape on! :)

I did ship the defective one back. And the new one is fan-freakin-tastic! As is the second one they shipped. I've had plenty of bad luck in my life, I'm taking this small win and enjoying it.

I am a big believer in karma (both good and bad). You might find that one of those two MVPs is lost or breaks or something that leaves you without it if you don't let the seller know he sent you two. Heck, you might even lose both of them. Most folks who sell on ebay are not making a bloody fortune there and it is a lot of work. It would be the honorable thing to let the seller know he/she had mistakenly sent you two replacements. That is my :2c: at least.

I'm a bit stunned that you not only did the seller wrong (IMO) but then came on here to brag about it.

Honor, integrity and who I am are based on how I treat others and how I react to situations regardless of how I am treated. I should do the right thing even when I'm done wrong. This is what makes us who we are.
