IMO, there is no best mod. Everybody has personal preferences no matter the cost. I think it all depends on if you want VV, VW, or MM and also if you're gonna use a atty, Carto, carto-tank, rba, RBTA, or clearo. There are so many mix and match stuff, its hard to find the best. I would suggest, if you have friends that vape, try their set-ups and see if you like it.

there are alot of great mods out and while i like my VW mods they are just not all the durable ive had to replace both vamo and zmax's already, so Provari is still top dog for me.
not thats its necessary they work great as is but i hope provape will put out a VW one of these days.

My favorite VV is my well worn Provari, favorite mech is the Poldiac. Both go with me everywhere but the Poldiac/DID combo is second to none (IMO).

have a provari but I like my Chi_You with ZAU 4wraps of 28kanthal 400mesh.. trying to get a 500mesh to try out the difference

I like mechanicals as well. Right now I use a macaveli 18350. Don't really have to deal with broken switches or any electronics. I also like the feel of it. I've owned a juggernaut and it was great, but I didn't like the weight and draw of it.
