Yes. Make sure it says nickel or ni200. Not nichrome. Titanium works as well, although the resistance change is different from nickel, so the temperatures you set it at will be different. There are some temp control mods that do account for titanium wire versus nickel wire.So Nickel coils are the ones you use to be able to conduct temperature?
whcih one would that be?? Evic??Ohhh OK thanks. There's a specific box mod I like, but I don't like the temperature tank that comes with it, so I wanna buy another. Thanks for all your help
Just to be clear, there is not (yet) a temperature specific tank.
fair enough but not really what I meant and in any case, the starre takes normal kanthal atlantis coils as far as i know..One could argue that the Freemax Starre Pro is a temperature specific tank. You cannot get one with kanthal coils, they are only sold with nickel coils, and it's advertized as a temperature control tank.

What about the Smok TCT? The name means Temperature Control Tank. I happen to love mine...fair enough but not really what I meant and in any case, the starre takes normal kanthal atlantis coils as far as i know..![]()
ok. I was thinking of the new innokin tank system that will contain a temp sensor for use with the innokin TC mod not a bunch of random sub-ohm tanks that happen to only have (maybe) premade Ni coils or whatever...jeez!What about the Smok TCT? If they use a sensor, I'm sure they will release a proprietary tank that works with their system. I don't think many other manufacturers will spend time on it since measuring resistance works well and is popular.ok. ...and yes the innokin tank can probably operate in non-TC condition also.....
i agree. I think you hit the nail on the head in that a tank system that is tied to a specific mod and presumably a proprietary coil design will be pretty unappealing to all I reckon. Certainly I am intrigued with the tech, but doubt I will go for it!If they use a sensor, I'm sure they will release a proprietary tank that works with their system. When it hits the market, we will find out how well it works. It may be an excellent system, but it may also be patented and kept to a minimum of tank options. To me, a sensored system would involve either additional contacts on the mod, or wiring. Add in a sensor that could fail, and you have more potential problems than I would care to deal with.i agree. Just to clarify, obviously there are tanks that are marketed with TC specifically in mind. I was just trying to explain to OP that TC is accessible probably (mod aside) with gear he/she may already have!![]()
