I am not sure why people keep recommending the MVP to you since you have stated external batteries as a requirement.

I got a VTR a couple of weeks ago and would happily recommend it, I think you can pick it up in the states for about $80, the build quality is good, it easily fits in a pocket with its recessed tank. The only downside is that it is heavy, but I actually like that so it's more a preference thing.

I'll second that. I really like my VTR and it uses 18650s - both the flat-top and button-top versions. I got mine at my local B&M for $95 CAD

I recommend the Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic flat top. VV/VW, built like a tank and handles 18350, 2x18350, 18490, 18500 and 18650 batteries, button or flat top. One of the shortest APVs per battery size out there. Mine has been in everyday use for nearly eight months. Get the V5 model if you want the cell phone charger and puff counter extras, otherwise V5 is identical to V3. There is no V4. Prices vary and vendor replacement warranties affect the cost. I've seen US vendor prices as low as $41.99 with a 14-day warranty to $74.95 with a 90-day warranty.

Where have you seen them for $41.99?

Edit: Posted too soon!

Edit:Edit: That 14 day warranty makes me kinda nervous

Here you go. I ordered one here and I'll be watching the mail for it on Monday. I'm gonna have a back-up, now.

Sigelei ZMAX V3- Flat top - 101 Vape

My first Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic Flat Top was purchased back in April for $74 with a 14-day warranty. Prices were higher, then.

Normally, I have no problems myself. But I purchased a couple of inexpensive mods (CVI's) and one lasted a few weeks and the other about a month. I'm jinxed!! And my MVP died too (that was over a year old so a natural death). I was thinking about purchasing this for someone else. Price looks good.

Sorry the "best" ones start out at $110 (jk)

Seriously tho', how long does it take to save up the cost of a carton of cigarettes to add to the $100 in order to afford a good PV.

If it's your forever mod, I'd say yea.

Some people would rather have several- I currently have 5 sitting on my desk.

But I do always go back to my favs.

I too think that the best PV ever made is "more than one". So for that reason my first real PV was one that I knew would last forever. That allowed me to save up for another good PV, and then another, and then another ......... without having to constantly eat up the budget by replacing cheap ones that don't last.
