For an entire kit? Based on my research ....

Vamo
Young June / Lambo
VV Gripper (LONGGG lasting battery ... runs hotter than displayed though)

And if you can wait a bit ... the new Joye eVic looks hella promising. Lavatube v2 *might* be under $100 for a kit .. not sure about that but I DO know it's going to come with a great charger.

Happen to know if the lavatube 2 or evic will be out before christmas? Just looked at the lambo but saw that some people have problems with the center spring loaded pin. Is the young June voltage fairly accurate?

Unsure if they're launching before Christmas but from what I hear the intention is to do so ... but that can change. The Young June has been tested and is fairly accurate, more so than the Lambo I believe. I was nearly ready to buy one until I heard of quality issues some people seem to have with them here on ECF. (it's a rather crap shoot when it comes to these chinese tube mods due to quality control).

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Vamo simply because of the current sale price plus current testing shows that it's really dang accurate. Probably your best "bang for the buck" when it comes to chinese tube mods atm. But again, since they are very new ... we have no idea how well the device will last. People could wind up with a dead Vamo in 3 months just like some people have claimed with the Young June. That is why price ultimately played the biggest factor in my decision to purchase.

Get a Vamo - it's a great mod that vapes as well as my Provari.
You buy two full kits including batteries from zainy.net for less than $100.

Lavatube 2 from Volcano is already out $150.00 for the kit.

Stupid amount of money, it's up against the Provari, Zmax, eVic in this price range - they won't sell many.

They're saying it's the "most advanced on the market" because it has an ohm checker and tells you when the battery is low - they're also touting an Ultrafire battery as the battery to use.

They're either aiming it at noobs or they think we're all stupid.

The voltage on the Young June Lava is PWM controlled and set to use average values - that would be a big no - the voltage isn't in the least bit accurate.

Maybe. but it is a USA made chipset and the apv is of decent quality. They also claim to have good quality control. The voltage is very accurate under load and the kit is 140$ and comes with one of the best chargers you can buy. Though I do agree the kit seems to be a little bit on the high side. The apv itself is 79$.
