Looking to get a VV/VW mod in the under $120 price range. I have been looking at the Sigelei 20watt, but have also recently been looking at the hana modz dna 30 Clone. I really like the idea of charging through the USB on the hana modz, but I am not sure about how the 2 will compare in vapor prodiction. I will be using a Patriot RDA and want to stick to a dual coil set up in the 1.3ohm - 1.8ohm range. Anyone have experience with these 2 devices? How will the vapor production be using these mods with the Patriot RDA? I understand that I won't get Mechanical Mod size clouds on a vv/vw but this is my first step in that direction. Any thoughts or videos that you guys could provide or direct me to would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...no reason that you can not get the same vapor production on a variable voltage device as on a mechanical...its all about the amount of current delivered and coil resistance after all.

With a coil resistance in the 1.3 to 1.8 ohm range, either the Hana clone or Segeli 20 watt should deliver great performance.

I would say that this is more a matter of the device's form factor rather than performance: Do you prefer a tube style mod or box mod?

Either of these are capable of providing a powerful vaping experience.

I like the idea of the Hana mod charging the battery, but I also like the idea of having removable batteries that I can use one while the other charges. The Hana clone is cheaper, but I can have 2-3 batteries with the Sigelei. I don't really see myself going over the 20watts of the Sigelei. I do like the looks of the Sigelei more than the Hana. I think that just made up my mind.... Now to just wait for payday.

I don't own a Provari but if you are going to spend over $100 you might as well get one. Or a REO. Plenty of threads about failures and problems with lesser mods and mechs. I like my $40 MVP for consistency and no rattlesnake effect. But when I can spend more money, it will be cheap 20-30w clone or a Provari.

Currently my MVP 2.0 is my daily mod. I like the Provari, but really want VW over VV. Rattlesnake effect?

I have an eVic, a Vamo 3, an SVD, and a Sigelei 20W. My favorite and daily vape is the Sigelei 20W, hands down. Rugged, good looks, and reliable.

How is the menu function on the Sigelei 20w? I'm a bit curious on the accelerometer feature.

I'll hop in on your question on the accelerometer on the Sigelei 20w. It works great. You click through the menu and for instance when you get to the power and want to change, you tilt the unit to the left to go down in power (watts) and to the right to go up. When done just click the button to finish. Same principle on the other features. PBusardo has a great review if you haven't seen. Like ancientgeek I'm very happy with mine but haven't had it long so can't vouch for long term reliability. It's also a long light saber when you get a Kayfun on it.

I'd go with the Sigelei 20w. Being able to replace batteries is a real plus, and the Sigelei is built rugged.

The full size 30w Hana clone has replaceable batteries and uses an 18650 like everything else mentioned.

The new Evic looks like a DNA30 chip as well with extra gimmicks. Not sure if those are worth the cash.

Ah - didn't know the clone had replaceable batteries. I still go more with Sigelei at this point. The new Evic looks interesting actually. There have always been a lot of happy Evic users. Having 30 watts on an Evic sounds good. I would want to see the accuracy tests tho. The Evic Supreme I saw was $160 - a bit pricey.

The total after buying batteries and a charger will be up there. The sigelei 20 seems annoying with its tilt to change watts or volts to find a good setting.

I thought OP already had batts and charger? They add to the price of anything but once bought can be used with different mods (amp limits considered). When I buy a mod I am just looking at the price of the mod now.

I wonder about the tilt - users say its no big deal tho. But yeah - I'd prefer a button or wheel. I still would take the Sigelei over the DNA clone. Just haven't seen enough on the clones yet.

It takes all of 2 minutes to master.

When in vaping mode:

Click the button 5 times to go to menu mode.

Click the button once to go to the set wattage menu, tilt left or right depending on how you want to adjust it and click. Tilt the device again and you're ready to vape.

It's very intuitive and works just fine.

Hopefully it holds up. Gravity sensors are used everywhere (cars, phones, mp3 players, pedometers, etc) so they have a good track record. It will probably last longer than the power button did on my retired SVD.

You'll be surprised at what the Sigelei will do with the wattage cranked and the resistance dropped, especially with a VG juice in your RDA. I have the Sigelei and a couple of RDAs. Now for flavor and clouds add a couple of RBAs like the Kayfun.
