So, I've just finished rebuilding my Taifun GT ready for a few days away where I'll be out a lot and won't be wanting the hassle of dripping.
It's a solid build, cotton and microcoil (8 wraps, 30g wire), 1.4ohms so it'll fire on my MVP as well as some mechs, and the flavour is spot on; but it's cold. Like, really cold. I can barely feel the vapour in my mouth as I'm drawing, but when I inhale the throat hit, vapor and flavour is there. If it was just warm instead of cold, it'd be my perfect vape. I've done builds in this exact tank before and got a nice warm vape with slightly less throat hit, which is what I was hoping to get again.
I have an idea of what is causing the cool vape, but wanted to run it by some of you guys first before I go in and perhaps ruin a good build. I'm thinking that the coil has perhaps too much distance between itself and the air hole on the deck. Does having the coil closer to the air hole generally make for a warmer vape? If so, then it should be a very quick fix for me just a gentle poke on the coil down towards the deck.
Just want some advice from you guys as to what would be the best thing I do to improve the heat from this build.
Thanks!
