Better quality Silica wick? is it out there?

Right now I'm using Ekowool silica wick for my rebuildables, but it's expensive. Is there a vendor out there that sells a better quality silica wick? I once got silica wick from somewhere I can't remember, but it had a very soft feel to it, and I remember it having excellent flavor. Better flavor and wicking is what I'm after. has anyone ever experienced that softer feel wick?

I don't know that much about silica because I don't like or use it much but there was a gal on the Killer 705 thread that said that the Killer had the best tasting silica she had every tried. She got her Killer at Greek Vapes so you could email them and ask what kind of silica they use. That's all I can offer, sorry.
