I'm sure with BT gone, they'll become reasonable on our desire to vape nicotine forever and ever, without any desire to tax, or to control the debate around what is safe, and what is a matter of exercising personal freedom.

I'm sure there are members of this community who actually believe this.

I see Big-T getting involved, then helping to shape US regulations so that only pre-manufactured cig-a-likes are legal and then only if manufactured to certain standards that only Big-T can comply with. Effectively killing every normal ecig vendors business. It will be after this occurs that they will begin doctoring their own products to be more addictive and more harmful. They will also very likely push for flavor limitations to tobacco and menthol flavors....just like their cash cow products are.

The net result will be that Big-T will once again be the only source for your inhaled nicotine needs, the only flavor choices will be the craptastic flavors Big-T is making now, and the quality/safety will deteriorate to the point that most people will just return to smoking, thus preserving the Big-T's real money maker...the analog cigarette.

NJoy is petitioning Health Canada to regulate ecigs as medical devices. Non refillable, disposable and stringently regulated so that only well established companies can provide them.
In other words: don't look for it in the future. It's happening RIGHT NOW!!

Sometimes it sucks being right all the time.

Luckily here in the US it's going to be a tougher fight, since the Supreme Court already shot down the idea of regulating them as medical devices. So Big-T is going to have to get their extraction plants all setup and then decide how to get regulations that make it so they are the only ones that are qualified to make the nic juice. Once they do, they of course will not sell the juice to anyone except in their own disposable POS devices.

Our only hope is that Big-T can't find a way to get this done though the FDA, leaving them to have to get our do-nothing deadlocked Congress to pass a law. In the current climate it is extremely difficult to get anything through Congress so we could be safe for the short term.

I have a problem figuring some things out too. ANTZ is something like anti tobacco or anti nicotine zealots, or something like that. I'm still trying to figure out what TCA is.

Looks like I'll be jumping on the DIY bandwagon sooner that later. I'm no doomsdayer, just a realist. I'm not as educated as on these issues as i'd like to be, though I'm trying to educate myself daily on these issues. I joined CASAA, recently and have been reading everything I can find. When I read posts that seemingly promote the envolvement of the government or BT, I want to vomit! I wouldn't knowingly support a single product produced, sold, or endorsed by BT. I can't fathom how anyone would want BT involved with any aspect of vaping. I personally do not!

Actually I think you will find that Altria Group Inc. (MO), the maker of Marlboro cigarettes, bought NJOY, so.....

Altria wanted to buy Njoy back in 2012, but Njoy turned them down. Altria has since launched its own e-cig, MarkTen.

I used to say FSPTCA, but TCA works just as well.

I think it could be fast given the powers we are up against. Here is where BT could be on side of BP, ANTZ and government.
I also think with way Congress is and has been for about 5 years, and with how big eCig industry has become that it could be a little bit slower and possibly defeated. Perhaps a bit hopeful, but world's been just weird enough lately to challenge any and all conventional thinking on such matters.

I have noticed that in last 2 days, almost all major vendor that sends me eCig marketing has been announcing their 'new and improved' eCig disposables. That can't be a good sign.
