I just hope if the worst happens the UK sticks its head in the sand.

LOL, this is the UK, pretty much bankrupt and in massive debt for the next few generations (thanks to "Prudance McIdiot").

Tax, tax and some more tax is all we need to fear...and in that scenario...hello Eastmall/Heavensgifts etc. :)

You can be sure that when and if (probably more when than if) the FDA approves e-cigs. Companies like RJ Reynolds, Phillip Morris and others will soon follow with their own e-cigs. You can bet your last buck that big tobacco companies will not idly stand my and watch e-cigs take over their market share. But hopefully it will spawn a whole new wave of competition with e-cigs.
The only problem that I really foresee is taxes. You can be sure that the federal as well as local governments will find ways to add additional luxury taxes to e-cigs.

i dont think they would be able ( well they could but ) to tax the batt, atty or cart itself besides the sales tax ... i think where we will get raped so to speak is the juice!!! the will tax the crap outa of that if they consider it a tobacco product :(

hey any one with me for making a couple 55GAL drums full of e-juice?? (kidding) but not really.... anyone? lol

Hell, tax isn't a bad thing for e-juice. The massive taxes wouldn't hit it for a few years, and if it's proven to be a safer alternative, I'm sure they'd keep taxes lower than with analogs to promote their use. I mean, RYO/pipe tobacco, snus, and cigars aren't taxed heavily if at all. (BT would love this if they actually got into the market LIKE THEY SHOULD FFS)

As for the 55 GAL drums of e-juice, sign me up.

Yes, Cluster, I've noticed - scanning backyard for potential tobacco plant garden area - that in similar mode of force-feeding citizens cigarettes, the pendulum has swung to the far other side. For BT or B who-have-you its always about the bottom line. I've not followed it but I believe BT has been branching out to more politically correct endeavors, adopting a benevolent persona.

For Juice the only thing you have to worry about is the nicotine ! you can buy it in the USA as CAS-15115 ( number might be wrong ,from memory !! ) it's approved as a WAIT <<<<<< PESTICIDE , the PG and VG are already FDA approved and son are the flavors As far as I know on the flavors ? )

Te machanical parts can be shipped as well " Mechanical parts / metal parts / machine parts " and will NEVER be stopped ( i MFG in China and have no problems with machine parts )

Anyhow these is NO WAY that you wont be able to get what you want , it might be technically illegal but broken up into pieces there aint a damn thing they could do IMO !!

Wow, that's an interesting thought! Big Tobacco vs China... 10 years ago, I would've banked on Big Tobacco winning the e-cig battle (even though e-cigs didn't exist then, but for the sake of hypothesis)... now, I'm not so sure...

Hey, let's face reality... China owns us right now! Get over it! And if China and it's products disappeared tomorrow... well... there'd be a whole bunch of empty Walmarts 'round here! The only way we can truly make sure that e-cigs aren't banned nationwide is to show the Chinese what a lucrative market they have by promoting/converting others to vaping.

That's right! Let's use capitalism to woo the commies to our side... ironic, isn't it?

Man... I love a two-edged sword... a pointy one, at that!
