the only thing I really hate about winter, especially now that I'm up north' is FEET of snow, that I have to take care of. It's funny, I used to complain about having to shovel a few inches...
i like winter in that i can control my temperature much better. im a hot person by nature.. always have been.. and come from a long line of hot people. so summer sucks unless im in a/c. even walking around nekkid, i still am dripping sweat. but winter is much more fun.. bc i can wear more clothes.. or even just get my heart beating hard for a little bit and im golden.

Fair warning if you post somebody will have something to say about it and the next thing you know there'll be 10 or 15 pages of stuff.
here too. Like you I was raised in snow country. Lived in Utah till I was 15 Then Idaho. When in Utah I had free skiing at Snow bird all I wanted. I wasn't very good but it was fun.
never been on snow skis... but used to love sledding (on a real wood w/ metal rails) when it got icy. one year it was really bad and was a few inches of ice for a couple weeks. me and my dad went sledding every night. well we kept getting better and better at it and more competitive.. trying to go further and further on each launch... until this one time.. where i leaped onto his back (which we had been doing to get more speed on the launch) and hear my dad yell as i hear something crunch.
turns out i busted one of his ribs good when i hopped on.... but on the bright side, we went further than we ever went before or would ever go again.. but man i felt bad for a long time...
oooh.. another story of the same kind.. me and my dad were sledding down the best hill in the neighborhood... it had a steep hill, and then went back up an equally steep hill on the other side. that meant that people could launch from either side of the hill and sort of met in the middle. well me and my dad were flying down this hill.. and we see this kid coming at us from the other direction.. i hear my dad cuss.. and then he turns as hard as he can... we put the sled up on one rail... kept flying down the hill... the kid passes under the rail thats in the air.. and then we drop back down onto two rails again... was freakin awesome!
