bit fallen off atomiser

i have emailed toby this morning as a lump of heating element has dropped off my atomiser
he has never heard of it happening before so doesn't know if it will affect the atomiser life it is still working at the moment
i just wondered if anyone has come across this before

i sent him the photo before i posted on here
he has offered to replace it but i don't like to bother him for a replacement if it's not needed
it is stilll working at the moment

Wow, that's a bit alarming 8-o (if this was our eBay group I'd just use :O, that one's a bit OTT ).

You've got a warranty on the atomiser anyway, so if it's still working as good as before I'd keep going rather than disrupt yourself, let alone Toby.

Toby likes happy customers, hence I am checking the forum for him daily, as he is up to his eyes in other bits and pieces. But I know he would be happier sending you a replacement, and getting that one back, so it can be sent to Ludo for testing.

If there is a potential fault Ludo would also want to know, as he can then rap the manufacturer and so on... all of which means we get better quality.

So... send it back, take him up on the offer, he will be happier I promise you.

Does the atomiser still look normal? is it possible it was a bit of something that had got left in there?

can't tell my eyesight isn't great it must be mostly ok for it still to work

Same trouble as I have, this is why I prefer shorter atomisers.

With this type I have to take a cotton bud to clean them, before I could use a paper hankie and it would reach just fine....lol

old age doesnt come itself !

right got in the sunlight and had a look compared it with a generic one couldn't get a decent photo so did a drawing
the generic on the left is an oval shape the janty on the right is an oval and on one side there is a curved piece and it looks like it was the other side that came away if that makes sense

I've checked with my TAWA and the one sent out with the Stick and they're both the same as yours was before the piece broke off - I mean, they've got a metal hemicircle on each side of the oval blob. Someone will know what it is, I was going to guess but how daft

I have no idea either, it seems like a protective shield or a secondary heat source, who knows, and I am being daft Scylla and saying it.........rofl.

Must try and look into mine...

I can see what looks like a folded piece of guaze going over the exisitng atomiser, no idea what it is for.

Looks like you have lost either a piece of the wire mesh that soaks up e-liquid or the basket in which sits the heating coil! I wouldn't worry too much whilst its working

The wire wool bridge broke off the atomiser that came with my stick this morning All that seems to be left now is a little mesh round the edge. Toby is kindly sending me out a new one and I am going to send the broken one back. Whether I got one from the same batch who knows, it was still working but tiny pieces of it were in the cart so I thought best not to use it. I have never had this happen before very strange.

mine was stuck to the cart same as yours

I have a generic planted firmly inside my stick right now! The Janty ones have far too easy draw for me, better suited to the KISSBOX use imo!
