Volts are already gorgeous with the silky texture and multiple classy colors of the batteries. But, I'm a blingaholic, and apparently many of you are as well. Smokeless Image makes it extra easy to bling your Volts. They offer a wide variety of skins that are really easy to apply and change as well as diamond tips for that little somethin' extra. They also offer a rainbow of carto end caps, and now there are several colors of soft rubber drip tips as well.
I've acquired quite a collection and wanted to share them to show you some of the things you can do:
The snakeskin, gold glitter, leopard, and "Splat" on the purple (love that!) are skins sold by SI. The burled wood is an automotive vinyl that I got from Metro Decals. Metro Decals | Products > Wood Grain Vinyl. The grass on the far right is a self-adhesive shelf paper that I got off of eBay.
For those of you that order the skins from SI: Keep in mind that the whole sheet is a sticker, not just the punched out rectangles for cartos and batteries. There are nice edging stripes and logos that you can cut out and use too - such as the "VOLT" on my red carto and the Smokeless Image logo (just a hair too long) on my raspberry. The glittery gold stripe on my black drip tip is an edging stripe on the gold glitter skins. Wonder how long it'll hang on there. So far, so good.
My flavor labels are made with a Brother P-Touch PT2430-PC labelmaker using gold lettering on black.
So - Show us your Blinged Up VOLTS!
