So I was just over reading the Bloog forums and someone posted this: "In my honest opinion Bloog is the way to go, several companies claim to have the same battery as the maxxfusion but they are not regulated the same. "

At first I did a "face palm"... but then I thought I'd come over and post here and see what peoples opinions are. My understanding is, there's only one way to regulate a battery, yes? Not quite sure how people make the claim that Bloog is somehow regulated differently than other companies selling regulated batteries lol.

I noticed that, too. Perhaps you could simply ask the person who posted it?

No, there are several different ways to regulate voltage or power in a battery.
What made you think there's just one way?

i can tell the difference between a bloog batt and a volt batt. theyre incredibly similar, but the minor difference is there. some will likely not detect it at all. the vapor just seems to be slightly more full from a bloog.

I believe you Kemosabe, but I just don't have any of the other brands of kr808 batteries mentioned, so I can't take any readings from them to see what they do.
Can only tell what Bloog does.
Also have some other kr808 batteries not mentioned, and they work differently.

Kemosabe sir all three (halo, bloog, and volt) are regulated the same way. All 3 have the same regulated voltage range of 3.53-3.68v. Bloog seems to get more of the 3.61+v batts than the other 2, but have seen their's lower as well. Again with Gen 2 batts, very little difference between them. The highest binned go to bloog, followed by volt, followed by halo it seems from the ones I have on hand.

right on Morandir sir. This makes sense to me.

i like a nice hot off the charger unregulated kr8 batt with my 2.0ohm boges. once the charge gets significantly lower, it doesnt perform as well...so i just charge 'er up. the 2.0's are still good on the regulated batts, but that little extra votage does make a difference.

Just as each carto performs slightly differently, so do my Kr8s. Sometimes I even like the hot off the charger of an unregulated kr8 but not all cartos can handle it, horizontals especially. Until VV comes in a convenient carry around size, all my kr8s have a special place.
