I thought bogegate was over. Yet, today I received, primed the carto, filled the F16 tank...and still the burning taste. Damn my lungs still hurt. Tried another carto and same thing. Finally the third carto worked. What the heck is going on? I thought Boge fixed their problems.

Sorry you're having problems. I've been using boge cartos for months with very little problems, most of my issues in the beginning were user error

Have not had a Bad Boge yet, and the Boge issue was an odd kind of off taste. Nothing like you are describing.

Sounds like the e-liquid never made it to the coil before you fired it off.

If it's just a slight burn, I have been OK with using them. A good hard burnt hit or two and I've never been able to get rid of the taste.

I experience what you're describing maybe once in 15 or 20 cartos. I haven't bought any this year though, this is with last years stock. Are you sure you're filling them properly? If not you could be on the edge of an early burnt hit and only slight carto differences could put you over or not.

I think I'm doing it right. Use the toothpick method to fill carto. Let it sit for 5-10 min. Then fill tank and take a few deep draw without firing the button.

I use the f 16 prepunched boge and have had that happen on occasion

but also many of them will last over 30 ml of juice

So if I get a few bad ones still a lot cheaper then replacing clero' heads

Yes those are the same cartos that I bought. Been using mega smoktech cartos for my pipe. Just wanted to try carto tanks.

I have always gotten at least 1 bad boge in an order I switched to 801 fusions and still have a pile of them lol but I love boges when they work.

What, exactly, is the toothpick method?

I've only experienced maybe a handful of DOA cartos out of countless hundreds. Like Chimney said, unfortunately the vast majority of times I didn't get a carto right was through user error.

Takes a little practice, but keep at it. You'll get it down.

You stick a toothpick down the middle of carto and then fill so no liquid gets down the hole.

Problem solved right there. 10 drops is no where NEAR enough. You need no less then 50-75 drops to prime a carto. Some even more.

Ok, this can be solved easily.

Are the Boge cartos you are using flanged?

Do they look like this:



or this:



Notice the one at the top. It is a simple metal cylinder.

Now notice the one at the bottom. It has flanges at the connection end and also has a hole near the bottom.

Do you recognize one of these?

The next step to helping you would be to identify the type of carto you are using.

With the toothpick method, fill it until you can see juice on top of the filling, let it soak, so it again, let it soak, then blow through the top into a paper towel, wipe off the excess juice, and if you sill see dry filling on the top, fill it again.
