So, just had a $1.1K donation..... From my paycheck LOL.

On a serious note, nothing did come of the wax tart sales thing (I wasn't holding my breath on that one), and the wife only got asked to walk the person's dog just one day last week (was supposed to be three times last week).

Ya know, ya'll can ask me questions if you have any.... Doesn't mean I'll always have an answer for you on this, but feel free to ask ;)

I haven't bought it yet, since my vape budget currently is zero while I funnel all available funds from my paycheck (minus money for bills, gas and groceries) towards this IVF. I was thinking of just ordering the door in the raw and taking it to the local collision repair center that had to do the warranty work on my car's hood (had corrosion under the front lip of the hood from manufacturing) and getting them to spray it the exact color (2011 Mustang Red Candy Clearcoat metallic, which just happens to be slightly smoked on the clear coat... factory color!). Then taking the door and body to the laser etcher at work and get my designs added :D.

But, that is at least 3-4 months away from now, to even start that. To me, the IVF is the most important right now, due to time crunch because of my wife's age (40), and the age limit at which they will perform the procedure. Had I known that we would need to go this route in the first place (instead of getting jerked around for about 8 years by the military medical system), I would have already saved the money needed, probably 5 times over. Heck, if I had known 1 year ago, I wouldn't have even been stressing about this, and it wouldn't have come out when it did, on the forums when everything else happened to stress me out hard.

Off topic but did the Reo red match your Mustang?

Looking at the question again, I think I misunderstood it. I don't think the REO red metallic matches, but wouldn't know for sure until I have that color in hand. Think my car is darker by a few shades.

We've got about $6500 right now. Was at $7K, but the first consultation appointment with lab testing fee set us back $500. The majority of money is coming out of my own pocket, as it should be. This IS my responsibility since we decided to go down this route. As I've said before, given sufficient notice that I would need to save as much as we need to, my wife wouldn't have started the gofundme site that she did.

On a side note, one of my old supervisors is visiting England from Florida, where he and his family retired to after his and his wife's service. He took us out to dinner tonight (his treat), and they donated $100 for the IVF to us. I am very thankful, for the fact that he was visiting others, but made a point to see me and my wife specifically, that he and his wife thought enough of us to donate once they heard about this, and that he was willing to give me professional and leadership advice again. A good mentor and a great man!

Really!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!! Now you won't have to spend all that dough on the IVF, right? This is great news.

Hearty Congratulations again my friend. Your baby will be a military brat born in Great Britain, just like me!

Yeah, I was hoping more folks were going to ask me last nite what I got for a present, so I could send them that picture LOL. We are pretty happy and excited! I for one though, am trying to stay calm about it at the same time as being excited though. I'm now hoping that everything goes the way it should, w/out any issues (as she is high risk).

Regarding all the donations we've received from you fine folks here in REOville, my wife and I feel that it is only right to give you all a few choices regarding the disposition of said money, since we both feel that it isn't really our money to do with as we wish to, since at this time (and hopefully not again in the future), we no longer will be prepping to pay for IVF.

Choice 1: Direct me to use the money as needed, for baby prep
Choice 2: Give you your donation back
Choice 3: Pay the donation forward to another military couple that requires IVF.

If you have donated, please get in contact with me and let me know what you would like me to do with it. It is the right thing to do, to ask IMO. Any of the 3 choices are ok with us, but I'd like to know so I can take care of it.

Thank you all for the good vibes and donations! Keep up with the good vibes, and I suppose as long as things go well in the next few months... I might be back here asking for name suggestions (not right now though, don't blow up my inbox! LOL).

EDIT: When the time comes, "REO" will not be an acceptable name suggestion, but Robert would be, just wanted to clear that up right now LOL.
