So, I was making a coil. Cut off a workable length of Kanthal, and was securing the end of the spool. This was the moment the cat decided to take a little stroll across my lap and the workspace. Stuff went flying, shooed the cat, and went hunting for my wire. Spent 10 min. or so, cussing, and no go. Cut new piece, wrapped coil, installed, burn, wick etc.------
Today i went to get fresh battery from charger, and guess what is laying across batteries, perilously close to the contacts? Riiiiight. My Kanthal...
I'm gonna mount my charger on a vertical surface like right now!!!

Alternatively tape your cat to the wall when building coils :D
Well, you know what they say; dogs have owners, cats have staff! She runs the joint. I just pay for it all.
This time it was the cat, but could have just as easily been dropped, and took a bad bounce. Either way, i need to get the batteries away from the wire.

What's worse is when the little leg parts pop off when you clip the coil after mounting it and losing it, only to recover it when it's stuck in the sole of your foot.
Any of us who has done thru hole PCB assembly knows about this one.:D:D
I don't even go in that room without shoes, anymore.

reminds of the time I tripped a breaker at a place I was working. I was running some low voltage communication wire (3 conductor shielded belden). got my wire and conduit ran, started stripping my wires and ZAAAAAAP. loud boom and spark by my shins, room goes pitch black. get the breaker turned back on, lights come back on, and i start to investigate. somehow the drain/shield wire I cut off had floated down and shorted the outlet right below me. I'm glad I had a coworker there cause I don't think anyone would've believed me if I told them. lol

Switch to a dog ... they're generally too big to get up on the furniture.

Sorry, couldn't resist

I don't think that story was boring, LOL any of them, really. I have trodden on a "failed" coil or snip of wire or two, barefoot.

It doesn't bug me, but I'm the kind of foot person who will take the trash out, heavy trash, barefoot and over stones and whatever else. The more you go barefoot... The better it gets. I'm always sad when 'shoe season" (it's too HOT to do it outside) comes around. LOL.

I don't think they're real pictures (I sincerely hope not) and honestly anyone who could do that to a cat would need a recovery time from being scratched or bitten.

This is my favorite use of duct tape, the DUCT TAPE prom competition. It truly is creative and no animals were harmed in it's making, and if you win you get a scholarship for college :)

Duct taped cats - not even funny.
Put duct tape in your hair and try to remove it, see how you like it.
Cruel.
It's highly likely these are joke images. Either A. Photoshop, or B. They covered the sticky side so it wasn't sticky. The cats, interestingly, don't look like they're being tortured. (Obviously, if it were real, that would be bad. I just doubt it is.) :)
