Klein Tools are very good, Still have a bunch of them from my Stage Hand days in NYC :).

Eric
When I worked for MSG (network guy), I was at Radio City a lot. What a clusterfk in that building. I still have a lot of tools from my network engineering days too.

I was thinking of only doing the exterior. I will search for cerakote but I doubt anyone even ships to down here.
Cerakote is a coating mostly used on firearms that needs to be applied professionally. Probably less than $20 for a mod but you need to send it out.

Yes the spray, thats what I was thinking about.
I was talking about the spray.

How about: http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion-for-plastic/

I have used it for outdoor plastic furniture with good results.

Eric
I wonder how long that would hold up to handling.

I think I'll just use mine as is. I like the color :D.

I'm still kinda iffy on the finish and sturdiness, but I'm not about to coat it with anything. I'll just sell it if I don't like it lol.

I saw on FB someone was talking about a vinyl polish? But I'm with @KTMRider. I've been using mine non-stop since last Saturday. Thrown around a bit and still looks like it was right out of the box.

Im happy with the material, finish and lightweightness of the mod. Nothing is indestructible, but think it will actually hold up better than a metal mod. Plus, we've all seen what many peoples sxminis look like after even a few days ;)

Yeah I don't think it will present any problems, I just like something with a bit more heft than this. That is yet to be seen, though. It's still in all its component parts on my kitchen table haha.

Mine is still in the hands of the USPS, which at this point has given up on a delivery date. Maybe tomorrow, hopefully in the right number of pieces.

You'll probably still get yours put together before me haha. As it stands, I'm calling off work tomorrow to handle some personal business and I might be able to squeeze in building the box... after I go buy wire and strippers.

Had an extended chat with GV today and got a lot of good info. Sent me side by sides of the blue and grey. Grey is a "distressed" grey. They are a 3d print done by someone other than ShapeWays but a very similar process. Didn't divulge who but I could probably guess. ;)
Can you post the side by side here? The grey pic isn't on the website

Edit: Nvm I found this...

I think they're a good weight. They feel really, really good in my hands. I hope they make this with a DNA200 (hint, hint!!!).

Boxer, 2 batteries (HG LE2), KF4, full tank - 250g (8.8oz)
VS rDNA40, 1 batt, KF4, full tank - 315g (11.1oz)
vs DNA40, 1 batt, KF4, full tank - 271g (9.55oz)
Hana V4, 1 batt, KF4, full tank - 252g (8.85oz)
SX Mini M, 1 batt, KF4, full tank - 373g (13.15oz)

Sure, rub it in :p

Yeah the body itself is super lightweight. I'm really not used to something so light. Makes me anxious after years of carrying mechs and hammonds... the lightest mod I ever had was the rDNA40 and I thought it was perfect for me.
Funny you say this. Before handling the Boxer, I thought the rDNA40 was the most comfortable to hold and use. It feels great whether I use my thumb or index finger and the size is great for my hands. The VS DNA40 is a great size for carrying around but feels a bit small. I was actually carrying it around tonight at my niece's HS graduation and dinner.

Yeah that box is great. The only thing that got me was when a genesis had the wick to either side. I probably looked like an idiot tilting that. Though, I absolutely loved the size, barely bigger than an iStick!
