I can't wait for the VS DNA200 . I'm telling myself to wait for the shark week sale that they usually have. I have a bad habit of buying VS's at full retail
I luckily got mine on Cyber Monday. Wound up selling it for $80 a few weeks ago, which was great cuz the thing was beat.

I don't think I will be getting another dna chip. Unless of course I really hate the SX350J. I've only had whatever YiHi chip was in the sigelei 100w lol.

Sorry KTM. Wasn't my intent :) I came very close to getting a mini. Had one in the cart several times. Main thing that kept me from buying was the limited battery life of a single batt sx350 mod. My first sx350 was a MHM mod. Weight obviously wasn't an issue since I've held lighter bricks:lol:

I bought mine a week before the cyber monday deal. I was a bit annoyed but forgot all about it when I got it and started vaping on it. No glitches even after pushing it way more than I normally would. Mine looks almost as good as the day I got it (minus the wear on the fire button) and works great. It's still my daily go-to mod. The only issues I've had was a constant firing VS DNA40 which VS replaced within a week and the replacement is perfect. My Hana V4 has a screen glitch but it's rare and I haven't seen it glitch in a few days.

No worries. I was just messin' with you :p. It's still for sale. With all the hype around the SXM, I'm surprised I can't sell it.

I ordered one the day before Thanksgiving. Then they announced Cyber Monday. I promptly cancelled my order hahaha.

I received mine the day before Thanksgiving. It's still my daily mod and I love it.
It was my daily for about 6 months. Probably top 2 for length of time I used something, especially an exclusive carry. I eventually got tired of the way the TC worked, and also wanted more power. Ordered an Invader Mini to replace my 'beater mech' and wound up liking it more than the rDNA40... Whose sale more than paid for the Invader lol. Once I get the Boxer built, that's what I plan on having for a primary carry for a while.

Still waiting on my Boxer (in fact the tracking still says "Pre-shipment info..." after receiving tracking # on Sunday), but I was just wondering if you guys could comment on how secure the battery door is. That's been my only concern about the design of this mod. I'd hate for it to feel like it was easy to knock off.

As far as weight is concerned, I've never understood the "Heavier is better" mentality. Sturdy materials I understand, but more weight just means more force when it hits the ground. Smooth Al or SS is more likely to result in it slipping out of the hand and less comfortable to hold. In order to make a more ergonomic device out of metal, more material has to be used and therefore more weight.

Every smooth metal box I have (or use regularly) has a silicone sleeve. Got a Sharkskin for the VS DNA30 when they first released them (didn't make them when the DNA20 was released) and it basically a requirement for me to purchase a device now. The iStick30 with sleeve is easily my favorite "shirt pocket" mod.

The 8 magnets holding the door isn't that strong but does the job well enough. Handling the mod for a couple of days now and I haven't noticed the door move at all. I did take it out with me to run a quick errand and while it's bulky to carry around, I didn't have any issues with it or the door. You don't have to worry about the battery door.

The sharkskins on my rDNA40, DNA40 and DNA30 make them the most comfortable mods to hold. The finish and contours on the Boxer is similar. If you like the VS, you'll love the Boxer. This is definitely not a shirt pocket mod :p.

I too love my Sharkskins...well, except when my Subtank Mini leaks juice down into it and I have to clean up the whole mess! :)

Couple DIY notes after a chat with GV:

(1) The SX350J board comes with an extra .10 microFarad capacitor (marked "104"), which can be used if you want to replace the switch for the fire button. Toss it, keep it, but you don't need it for the Boxer.

(2) If you mess up the magnets, the only fix is to buy a new door. So make sure to do it right or it'll be a costly mistake. ;)

What's the battery life like on this? Regarding your usage? (To whomever owns one already)

Also, you really can't use the usb port to charge? I'm aware of how long it would take, just wondering.
It's a serial connection so no, you can not charge with the USB. You'd need a balance charging board, which there is no room for, like in the IPV4, and even then you couldn't use the USB but a separate 9v charging port.

If you use some of the new LG HG2's or Sammy 30Q's you've got 6000mah -- good for 70,000+ joules. 2+ days for most of us.
