Brand new here...MANY questions

Hello everyone. I've been smoking since I was 12 (quit for 14 years while I was married) and been back on cigarettes for the past 6 years about a pack a day. My brother sent me an eGo-T and some liquid etc. I started trying it last night and so far it's pretty good. I'm now 24 hours without an actual smoke.

Sometimes the liquid leaks out of the eGo-T...and sometimes the liquid comes through the mouth piece into my mouth. It's freaking terrible tasting...and I was wondering if it's dangerous?

I also got a cigarette sized one with some disposable cartridges/atomizer things. I am not sure of the model of this one as nothing i got came with any instructions. I am wondering if I can just pull the white plug off and refil this with more liquid?

The eGo-T definitely gives you more vapor which I like..but man when the liquid comes into my mouth through the mouthpiece it's horrible. Any suggestions?

The eGo-T didin't come with an actual charger, but you unscrew the end fo the battery and plug the USB directly into it. The cigarette sized black one from joytech has a small cigarette pack like thing that seems to charge the battery, but there's also 3 other holes and I'm not sure what they are for? I can fit one of the atomizer things in the middle one, but the other 2 are too shallow to put one in and then close the lid.

I could try to post pictures of each unit if it would help.

I'm pretty happy so far....as I normally would have smoked around 30 cigarettes by now in the past 24 hours...but so far i've only had vapor.

any help would be great. Do i have a crappy unit? if I do...what is the BEST one to buy?

The one I got came with 3 small bottles of liquid, Turkish tobacco, Ma something, and Phillip Morris flavors. I really only like the Turkish one so far, but can I buy ANY liquid and use it with these units? I'd like to try coffee and chocolate. Do all the liquids have nicotine in them? how much nicotine is in the liquid normally compared to a cigarette?

Sorry for so many questions but I have no idea about any of this stuff..what I do know is that I MUST quit smoking. I turn 40 next month, I'm athsmatic and a diabetic and I don't feel like dying anytime soon. HELP? TIA

If you get some silicone caps for the ego tank you should get a good seal which ought to stop the leaking. Using a punch to get the center hole in the cap makes it even better.

The tank on the ego t is known to leak

I suggest you ditch the tank portion of the ego t and get some cartomizers or better yet some bottom coil ce3. Imho The bottom coil ce3 will give you more vapor than the ego t and better vapor than a dual coil carto

You can also use Kanger t2, 3ml Phoenix, vivi nova and many more

am i at any danger if/when I get the liquid into my mouth from the mouth piece? is this normal? why is this happening?

also..sorry but what is teh "tank" portion exactly? adn what is a bottom coil ce3? I know nothing about this stuff.

It was hard enough to figure out how to use these with no instructions at all. Like I said, these just showed up in the mail from my brother as a gift...but no clue what I'm doing

I had the same problem with clearomizers leaking it was a bummer. I started using a 510 atomizer designed for dripping and just dripping the liquid I want a few drops at a time. The big positive for me is that I seem to be vaping less this way because it only lasts a few puffs before you need to add another drop or two. It also adds a bit of ritual to the process and makes it fun. Not to mention with a tank (or in my case a clearomizer) you basically have a neverending supply or vape, and I didn't know when to quit haha.

In short my advice is to get a drip atomizer, and find a non-leaky alternative for your tank because dripping and driving is dangerous

Yeah the best thing you can do is ditch the top portion and put something new on your battery like a Stardust or a Vivi Nova. I'm not a fan of the phoenix.

Yes, consider the battery a separate unit. There are a variety of juice delivery systems for said battery that you can explore.

If you are using the EGO-T battery then you will need something with EGO threading. Order a clearomiser(stardust) and see how you like it. It replaces the atomizer and juice tank you are currently using. I was ordering from a Canadian vendor for my parents but I don't believe they are a sponsoring vendor so I hesitate to give you a link. Google "evapers clearomizer" and that should point you to the right place. It's the item that's 5.99. That has a tank and an atomizer coil already included and it's everything you need to vape off your EGO battery. Simply add juice. When it burns out after 15-60 days you unscrew it, toss it and replace with new unit.

Can I pop the top mouthpiece with the hole off of these and just pour more liquid into the cartidge to get more vapor and continue using it? I only have 5 of these.

After a few more posts, you can receive private messages. I'll be happy to link you a bunch of Canadian stuff. My parents live in Canada and I got them on the vape train with Canadian vendors. Customs sometimes likes to hold ecig stuff for a while when coming in from out of country.

Prometheus I know how confusing all of these device options can be, the more I learn the more questions I have. I don't think there is a "Standard" size but the size you have seems to be the most common (510). If you like having something that holds a lot of liquid I use a tank from smoktek. It works really well as long as when you fill it you take your time and let the liquid fully saturate the cartomizer before you puff on it. I would suggest watching a "how to" vid on youtube before you fill it, I ruined a cartomizer because I didn't fill it right.

My personal experience has been good with this tank. The site I linked ships fast and they seem to be resonably priced. Someone with more experienced may know of a better one though.

I prefer dripping to anything else but I am still searching for the best Atomizer, and I wouldn't link anything I have tried yet.

OK. So I have 2 units basically. i have the smaller cigarette sized ones

and the eGo-T with tank. I prefer the eGo-T as it gives me much more vapor, but leaks a bit and then I get the liquid in my mouth sometimes. The smaller one is easier to handle

question. the smaller cartidges...am I supposed to FILL these with liquid? I put them on but I get no vapor. Any ideas? When I pull off the small white rubber stopper with the hole that I put in my mouth there is cotton batton and a tube inside. Do I just put liquid inside there?

Yeap fill it up until the fiber is saturated. Someone once told me to treat it like the soil in a potted plant. "You want it to be moist, but not soggy". I have noticed that a lot of devices require a little patience but if you really want to quit the analogs you will find the patience

Oh I DO want to quit...NEED to quit really.

Ok. I was confused. Like I said I didn't get ANY information with this stuff...just came in an envelop from my brother. and the cartidges I have do NOT look like the ones in that picture. They are all black and not see through. They have a white rubber stopper on them that with some work I can pull out. So I put the liquid in there and go?

How long do these "disposable" atomizer things last?

Is it normal to get a LOT more vapor from the eGo-T vs the smaller cigarette sized one? Is this due to size? battery strength? What?

If you were to buy new...starting out and really wanted to make a go of this..what would YOU buy?

I am happy to spend the money for the best gear as long as I can quit fricken smoking.

HI, I am a newbie also. It is extremely difficult to type out what you need to do, there are already some wonderful guides. Do a search on youtube, I am positively sure you will find some videos on your Ego-T. They will show you what piece is what, and goes where and does what. Once you have that basic understanding, all the lingo will sort of fall into place and you will have a better idea what these people are telling you

You won't be able to post a signature until after x amount of posts, I think 10 or 15 or so. There is a lot of great information on this site! And everyone is very helpful, but I had to understand the lingo and the basics before I understood what they were trying to tell me!
