mgmrick, your holes look a little bigger in your pic, but its tough telling. I made sure to wrap the wicks around the posts when i primed and put back together. I think i flooded the bottom by primer puffing while i was trying to test the draw of the thing. I think it will be ok once i refill (as long as i can come to terms with the tight draw and not keep primer puffing!!)

Hey Tao, if you keep having the tight draw, let me know, and I'll send you a drill bit to ream the holes above your threads with. It is a .8mm or about 1/32.

Least I can do for running such a smooth coop. :D

hey 68injun, i'd take you up on that if you've got an extra 1/32 bit laying around. otherwise i can probably pick one up at the hardware store (or is that a difficult size to find?)

The bits I get are from work and are .8mm, just over 1/32", perfect for reaming those air holes. PM me your address and I'll mail you a couple. These are cobalt drills made by a company called Guhring, they are about as good as you can get. (I'm a machinist for my day job)

The tight draw on these was driving me nuts, but I didn't want to go in and bore out the hole just yet. While playing around with it, I pulled out a 510 to 510 connector with a hole in the base, not a sealed 510/510 connector. The draw is very easy now, just like taking a draw while unattached. It works fine like this on my Lavatube with a floating center pin and on my VV Gripper, which has a sealed 510 center post.

Ok, finally got through this thread :D.

I also found the use of an unsealed 'shorty' 510-510 adapter takes care of any tight draws.

I got one through taofishdudes co-op (sure wish I'd gotten more). I only got one because normally I use top coils - I like warm vapor. BUT, I have to admit the taste from this tank is phenomenal!

I re-coiled and re-wicked the tank after a weeks use of the stock wick/coil. Then dang near cried when it started shorting . I too discovered that the positive post can't be pushed all the way down in the grommet. It's working fine and I'll probably order another soon, you know, just to have a spare :D.

ETA:
Found the BO-6s here for $12.99

TomCatt, there is something odd about the pictures on that site. The tank should be bigger than the chamber... I hope their camera is a bit distorted...

I just used a jeans needle to widen those two little air-holes. Broke off the tips of 2 several times and had magnetise smaller needles to fish the tips out again. I probably shouldn't have done that. I might've damaged the grommet that separates the +/-. Also, I liked those needles. :( Also, I was forced to use a screwdriver to flatten the warps I made in the holes. But all in all, total success. I don't recommend doing how I did it... extensions certainly do the job better... but whatever works for you...

I've found making a mark somewhere so I can ID the hole works well. So if your chamber is looking a bit too wet, you can you just tilt the thing up at 180 degrees or higher while vaping to prevent more liquid from dripping in. Finally got some high-resistance Kanthal D on ebay. Am I the only one who likes vaping 4.1 ohms at 3.7V? These things still vape awesome even with such a high resistance!

Mine does not look like the one from Vapor Alley - the size difference is more like the pic at the bottom - the B08 - but with the atomizer on the bottom. About a 60/40 split or perhaps even a 65/35 split in the chambers. The pic on Vapor Alley looks like the posts in the atomizer are taller as well.

Yeah, after looking closer at the pics on VZ and VA - the VZ ones appear to have shorter posts and the 'tank' bottom/chamber top seems to set closer to the top of the posts. The 'tank' may be the same size, just could have a shorter tube and shorter posts. :D
Who is VA? I'd like to do another modification. Thanks
