Welcome!! There is much more to vaping than you probably ever imagined. Lots of different hardware, juices, ingredient mixtures, and people that vape. It will probably take some time for you to gain enough experience to find something that you're happy with on an ongoing basis. I'd encourage you to read, read, and read some more in here to get familiar with the jargon and all of the elements of the vaping world. It will be overwhelming at first but as they say, eat the elephant one bite at a time. Congrats on your decision to try vaping!

I've been reading on here every spare moment I have had for 5 days straight. Relentless reading going back 3 years worth of posts. And I don't believe I have scratched the surface. At all.

I am trying to figure out where the best place to post about add-ons for my Vae is, because a lovely vaping Ocelot disguised as a human let me know that my battery is an ego clone... I am so intrigued by clearos that I can't take it. I don't know if I should venture into the Model Specific forum to ask, or stick to the Newbies forum. (Which is Most Definitely what I am.)

Also, I am enamored by all the different Juice vendors, especially Mt. Baker. I wish that I had heard of all of this sooner, living in such a small town (population: around 1400) the only things that had made it to us were NJoy (which I haven't tried) and Blu. Still have to travel at least 20 minutes to be able to find a place with a Blu, but hey, those were just a stepping stone to finding my Vae and the internet is in my living room.

Never been so proud of being a Quitter!

The flavor was a big part of why I quit. The day I got my Vea I had nearly a full pack left out of the last carton that I'd bought. Had 1/2 of one in the morning before going to the post office to get my kit. I was very happy with my experience but that evening I got a really strong craving. Since it's not really a good thing to beat yourself up if you have a smoke while switching to vaping I figured I'd go outside and finish the rest of the one I lit up that morning. BLEH!! It made me gag it tasted so bad! Threw down the cigarette, stomped it out as I walked over to my trash can and pitched the rest of the pack in the garbage.
It felt GREAT! Haven't had any tobacco since. Everyone quits at their own pace, but with the mind set and the vape it makes it so much easier.
Here's to your continued success! :toast:

Edit: Just saw your post about delivery systems for the Vea. I've only used cartomizers but I've read of people using ViVi Novas on them. As long as you use the 1.8 ohm heads you should be ok. Anything that has 'Ego Threading' on it you won't be able to use. The Vea has that silicone ring, (that holds the cone over the carto), instead of threading so those devices won't fit. Anything with a clear post that's 510 threaded should be just fine at low ohms.

Hey bunnie, and all you other folks too !

I am SO happy-and proud of you !

You are Super Noobies !
You are on the Vaping wagon, researching...sharing and careing for yourself s and others, figuring it all out.
Yea...it is a lot to absorb all of the Vaping lingo, but with good vape gear and some good e liquid...
You are doing Great !!!

Vaping drys you out...drink plenty of water, plus you are flushing all those toxins they put into cigs out, so water-water-ice cold water.
Trouble with that 'first one in the morning'- vape when you get up...then vape again. If you still 'got to have one'- then have one- it's ok.
Might be you need a little stronger juice- might be that you just need to vape more often.

I was thinking today about how many times I tried to quit...dozens...the patch, the gum, cold turkey, hypnotist .....
Never could....never would have. Drove myself and my family crazy trying...ALWAYS thinking about 'that next Burro'.
I would have just died a smoker if not for Vaping

:toast: Here's to ALL of US- May we all have LONG, HAPPY VAPING LIVES !

:toast: And here is to yours as well!! I am so proud of everyone here. You and I done the same exact thing, I had a half of one out of a Spankin' New pack, and put them in the freezer. I couldn't even wait on the Vae to get here that day to quit, I had to have another Blu disposable. I think it is just that we were *ready* to throw them down and away from us. I don't have the willpower to throw those other 19 away, but the safety net of them being under a container of chicken bouillon cubes in the freezer is enough.

Thanks for the info on the delivery systems. I honestly didn't even know how to go about wording my question in a new thread to ask. I love the little cone over the carto, don't you? It just makes it look so sleek. (Which is of course a cosmetic thing to me, but hey, whatever works, right? I understand it also streamlines the air for a better puff? Any truth to the marketing propaganda?) So, ViVi Novas, and 510 threaded clear posts is what I should be researching now. Got it. I knew that the Egos had very different threading and such from the Vae, but wasn't sure which things *weren't* made with the Ego threading.

You got it. Clearomizers like these with the skirt at the bottom won't fit. Smoktek Ego batteries have 'outer' threading where the Vea batteries have the little silicone strip with no threading. Vivi's or even carto-tanks like our good friend PBusardo reviews here would work just fine as long as they're low ohm 1.7-2.2 ohm.

Edit:Note if you try out carto-tanks you have to buy cartomizers that have pre-punched holes in them or punch holes in them yourself so they can soak up the juice from the tank. You'll also have to 'prime' them by dripping juice in them on the initial fill.

Fantastic to hear how you're doing!

The cone is cosmetic, as are other thread covers. Sometimes a size B thread cover (which used to come with old eGo kits) can have an impact on airflow, but it's not designed for that. There are, however, specific ring-type screw ons to adjust airflow.

Re: thread size - I skimmed the thread (not very well apparently) and I couldn't find where it was determined that the Vea didn't have eGo threading. Is this the type of Vea you got?

My smoke-free-inspiration friend!!! Hello, Ryck! (Is that an okay nickname shortening?)

I understand fully about "Always thinking about that next one", I spent many a day thinking about that next one, while one was lit. Just because I was down to less than 8 or so in a pack. Not the past few days though. I crave the feeling, but not the smell. The Vae is delivering that feeling quite nicely, with a much nicer taste.

I can't believe that you kept trying to quit, thats the sign of an absolute Trooper. I would have been so discouraged that I wouldn't have known what to do. I've never tried to quit before, only thought about it. Which seemed to make me smoke more heavily than I would have if I wasn't thinking about how much I didn't need to be smoking. I've kind of got one of those "teetotaler" outlooks. I have to go full speed ahead in one direction or another. If I back pedal, even in the slightest, my entire route changes. Could be the female, the southern, the addictive personality I have... Or any combination of all.

How long do you Vape in one "session"? Or do you just vape when the mood strikes? I've been trying not to let it become a session habit like a cigarette, but to just puff on it every little bit so that I don't even think of the cravings, because they are already taken care of?

I agree completely on the water- I'm already a big water drinker having better spring&well fed water than any $1 bottle can give me. Plus, with all the dehydration talk and being a little skittish, I haven't moved without a jar of Ice Water in reach.

Thank you. For the support, information, and experienced knowledge - 2 days 16 hours smoke free!

:toast: Here is to Everyone! many more Vape-Filled Chats!

Hi again Bunnie - I apologize for the misinformation. I just watched a video review of the VEA, and while it looks like an eGo and has 510 internal threads, it doesn't appear to have the external eGo threads (like pictured in my graphic). What a bother! It also noted that while 510 delivery systems can be used on the VEA, for some reason VEA cartridges don't seem to work on other 510 batteries.

So without the external eGo threads, to be able to use things that screw onto the outside (for example a CE4) you would need an adapter - but that's a lot of bother when there are other 510 products available

(Just for reference) eGo Adapter 510 - Outside Threaded for eGo Cone [gotvapes-EGO510adapter] - $4.25 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Wow, there is a lot more to the tanks... I think I will definitely be sticking with regular cartos for a while while I read up really good and learn more.

Don't be sorry, Its absolutely okay :) I am thinking that I will probably wait a while until I learn more about the tanks and such before I decide to try it. If it can be messed up- it will be me that does it, haha. And it seems there is a whole lot more to them than just filling blank cartos that attach directly. I definitely will be looking for more of them that are cheaper than ones from Johnson Creek though- especially since I am seriously wanting some more juice to try.

Thank you for the adapter link, I probably need to scoop one of these up now. I waited just a bit too late, and had the album finalized just as I refreshed the page and seen your reply- but I did get some pics taken. I hope that the link works, if not they are in my albums :)

Thanks for the link to the adapter's Ocelot. :toast: I've been wanting to try some type of clearomizers like CE4's and what not but thought I wouldn't be able to use them with my Vea batteries.
I'll be using these for a while longer, at least until they die. I'm just frugal, (cheap), that way. Trying to recoup some of the money I wasted on the Blu :glare: kit I bought.

You could probably find one for less $, I was just posting it as an example. As for the Blu, it has 510 threading and you can put a Vision Nano on it for stealth vaping.

I looked at your pictures and now I know better. You can probably see from the images I posted why I thought it was an eGo clone - there are so many around.

Keep on vape, vape, vaping View attachment 187332

I could with the ones you posted, definitely. Those helped a whole lot with my growing vape-bank o' knowledge :)
