Great to see that British media-doctors appear to get behind electronic cigarettes.
So, this was Dr. Hilary Jones on Daybreak October 2011
There also is Dr. Chris Steele on This Morning January 2012
And not least, Dr. Miriam Stoppard had a compelling coming out as a harm reduction advocate in her Mirror column January 2012
This public visibility of an explicit positive stance taken by a growing number of health communicators is highly encouraging. I just wish we could have someone of this calibre to come out of the woods in Germany, where prohibitions still have a media fest.

Volcalek you are always finding good stuff. I enjoyed watching that, shame I can't blow smoke rings like the guys in the vape bar. The doctor was well informed and its great publicity for e cigs.

I think Alzheimers has finally done me in! When I first viewed this, there was an older guy on the right hand couch that was doing a lot of positive talking. Today I viewed it and the guy I remembered wasn't there. Could there be another segment? I'm sure it was the Daybreak show maybe a different episode... have I gone completely mental? Please advise!

There are two separate shows, with two different docs, and different clips that may or may not show the doc/s speaking.
One of them is a very media-friendly doc, Dr H Jones (looks good on camera), the other (older) doc is Dr Chris Steele, who is reported to have coined the term NRT.
He is obviously very close to NRTs having been involved from the beginning, although we are not overly joyous about the association since e-cigarettes are not an NRT (see the World Vaping Day website for an explanation of why e-cigarettes are not NRTs).

This is fantastic, from the clip showing vapers using mods rather than minis to the doctor elaborating on the various flavors available and the fact that some do have an odor. This segment is more in touch with reality than just about anything I've seen on mainstream media. Thanks for posting!

Things change so slowly that it can be hard to notice that it is happening, but in my opinion, yes.
We are seeing positive articles more and more often.
We are seeing more and more research being done on electronic cigarettes.
We have even seen an anti-smoking organization in Canada recently reverse their stance.
And we have started seeing signs that the American Cancer Society is wavering a bit in their staunch opposition.
At the very least, they have softened their language somewhat recently.
But I also expect to see the ANTZ start turning up the heat long before they decide to back down.
On the other hand, if we keep on battering them and exposing their hypocrisy and conflicts of interest...
They might just decide it is in their best interests to shut up and leave us alone.
