Hey friends,

I just uploaded a beta Evolv USB Charger Cradle for the fasttech enclosure on shapeways.com, and have order one for testing. If all goes well, I'll start offering them for the masses.

Here's the link for those interested; https://www.shapeways.com/model/2802430/evolv-usb-charger-cradle-v1.html?li=shop-results&materialId=100

Stay tuned … :)

Sanjosse you think I can slide the whole thing in a tube? And second do you know if the on board buttons will be easily accessible?

Aal_, That's a good question, I've checked the 3D file, and the inner diameter (ID) would have to be at least 23mm. And yes, the onboard buttons would still be easily accessible :)

Preparing my metal files and sandpaper, you think I could do it? Although even with sanding it will have to be put in the center and then depth will be an issue. What do you think?

It would depend on what tube you're trying to put it in. Does it have at least a 23mm inner diameter? Plus you have to consider fitting all the wiring in it too.

I've been working on a semi-tube design, here's the thread; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/547614-my-first-attempt-3d-dna30-case.html. I'm waiting to sell a few more DNAx cradles before I can afford to get it printing at shapeways.com :)

No it is not 23mm, but yours seems to be around 20. something mm. I don't see why i need 23 inner diameter.

Bummer although the tube is 24mm the inner diameter is 19.

Aal_, I've created 19mm ID tube version and will post it on shapeways.com later this evening. If you want to beta test it and let me know how it works out, that would great :)

just bought 2 of the dnax cradles last night from Sanjosse. Pretty stoked about them! Here's to hoping I can get a couple of the USB Cradles. ;)

captainbrew, Thank You! BTW, did you get my PM or email?

ATTENTION

First off, I want to thank mackman, THANK YOU!

mackman was nice enough to send me the internal bay measurements for elev8vape.com Cana Modz enclosures (found here). It is approximately 1mm thinner. I'll revise the fasttech cradle and post a elev8vape-Cana-specific cradle this evening (after we take our daughter trick or treating) :)

I can't recall, but If anyone has experience with using my fasttech cradle in this elev8vape enclosure, please share how it worked out :)

Already have some of your boards for my chip and the one for the USB is exactly what I am looking for sanjosse. Nicely done.

I need a couple, everything but the chip is sitting at the house. When do you think they will be available?

And thank you for getting this done.

Shapeways should be shipping my Sanjosse DNA slid on Monday and when the USB charger cradle is available I will be ordering a couple of those. Still waiting for Fasttech to get my two Hana style enclosures to me. I ordered them on 10/21, so should be here soon? Never ordered from Fasttech so have no idea how long it takes to get to Cali.
