Ya just saw that. I think He's right! So were can you buy an SX300 Chip I google searched and there are no places I found :(

not according to Nodus on the discussions:

"it looks to me that they aren't gonna be good for the SX350 as they put the window too low to accommodate the length of the chip and the usb charge board. They made a huge button hole which when used with the switch included will interfere with a fat daddy or varitube 510. If they had left the buttonhole and window out I would snap up a couple of these but alas not to be I guess. "

If ya watch this video you will flux the flux then flux again to solder a pin ..

How its done right. Gallon of flux and a millimeter of solder
☟ ✌

great vid - makes me wanna start again and resolder ;-) (hmm maybe not)

how small were those irons? and the actual solder had a very fine diameter no?

That's a beautiful video. Reminds me of Terminator 2 with all that melting unmelting lol.

That ground lug soldering was most educational for our purposes loved how they desoldered and the connection was perfection.
I always tin both connections and sometimes get spikes from too much solder
now know desolder leaving a glaze and then flux again, solder, and that should be moot.
I have watched it like 10 times lol...

I took apart a junk bin board and put it back together did a 80pin was awesome I bridged like all 80 pins tho
iron is hella too hot lol
but super fun working the iron

Don't worry about the bridging... they had a clean board with tinned pads, clean soldering pen, the right temp (the hotter the better up to a point) and the right flux... oh, and the most important part... the experience with that maneuver. I'll go out on a limb and say that they were probably using a lower melting point solder and a pre-heater on that board as well. When learning that move, bridging is expected and means you are on the right path! Your bridging may have simply been that your pen was too high on the legs... try doing it again where your pen only touched the very tip of the pins right where you want the fillet to be.

Not having one of these in my hands, I may be full of malarkey; but... I've seen SX-350 chipsets in a standard Hana-Clone box. The builders simply milled or filled the DNA 30 window bigger. The window for the SX-300 chip sits higher than the window for the DNA 30. It APPEARS to have enough room for the SX-350 & charging board. As for the bigger fire-switch interfering with a VT or FD 510, I doubt it. Remember the top of the box is pretty thick; thick enough that you can't get a nut on the bottom of the 510 without removing significant aluminum. That's why we drill and tap. Again, there APPEARS to be plenty of room for both the big switch and a quality 510.

If I were a betting man, I'd go with this enclosure, an SX-350 and drill for up/down switches. I strongly dislike the "G-Sensor" or single-switch menu devices.

Anyone want to get this and a $60 SX-350 and be our guinea pig?

These are the cases that Hotcig makes the window is the correct size I checked already. They are made for the SX size screen, there is a 35w Yihi board that has the same screen as the SX350. These were made for that so its all good.

Have you seen an SX350 Chip? it's a lot longer than a SX300
The screen will fit in the hole and it will probably fit in the box, but the chip will reach all the way down to the bottom were the usb goes, pretty sure?

Nice! FT sells the 510 now $3.69 DIY Self-adjusting 510 Connector for E-Cigarette - stainless steel + brass / 22mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Cool for around 25 bucks and an SX350 chip you can make a nice mod :)
I don't mind the G sensor It works fine for me and 2 less buttons is a good thing. I think :)

Check this out he just posted a build of one, says it took an hour to put together pretty nice. I love my Sx I cant put it down.
