To be perfectly honest, both $5 Cloupors I purchased are working great, after repairing them and installing FD 510s. I sold one for $45 (the apparently new one), which puts me ahead of the game already. I'm hoping to get one more I can fix and one with a bad chipset to install a DNA 40 in. My goal is to have a DNA 40 in a HANA-type box, at no overall cost to me. We'll see...

Shouldn't be hard all 4 of mine only needed new 510 connectors. . . well technically, imo they needed dna40's inside so that's what they got

I don't understand how my batch could be so so different from everyone else's. Was it silly that I checked the range of resistances and not just a single resistance, or that I checked the output voltage and output wattage? Maybe I was being too strict... well, then again i had at least 1 that had caught fire/burned out a few components and separated the layers of the board in the process.

I've been waiting for elev8vape to have some more available so I could use for my projects but don't know if they will have anymore. Been looking around for just the enclosures and there really is much to chose from the ones available are sold as a kit with items that I won't be using which makes them overpriced and definitely not worth it. I mean the whole reason for me making my own is so that its made to my liking. But anyways was debating on placing an order with a supplier for some. So that I can get what I need and sell the rest as cheap as possible just so that I recoup my investment. And of course it would be just for the enclosure nothing more or less. Just worried I won't be able to sell them and be stuck with the due to lack of interest.

Finally... After almost two months, my FT mini arrived today

Now all I need is my Stealthvape order to show up and I'm ready to convert it to DNA 40 18650 power

Mine still comes up as "non-existent" and it was sent the 19th December... which is crazy for something that usually takes 4-5 days to arrive.

Anyway... I'm trying out the stock FT Mini just to see if I can get used to a "box" mod. I'm in no hurry to make the conversion except for testing the evolv chip in case I get one of the "bad" ones...

Found a wholesale supplier of 18xxx LiPo Batts. The 18650 version is listed @ 2200mAh; 18500 @ 1200mAh. I'm hoping to see higher Ah, cylindrical LiPo batts more readily available in Europe & N.A.

Well I have finally finished my DNA40 project. Went pretty well for my first box. The only thing I regret is not using all silicone wire. It's way easier to work with but it came out fine. I used the Varitube 22mm 510 and real C&K switches. Used hot glue to hold them in along with the charging board. Figured I wanted to be able to replace them if needed.

I do have to say that the spring loaded 510 is awesome. Every atty I have has made perfect contact and is flush.

Here's a pic of it next to the next DNA40 victim. It's a FC mini with 18500. I already have the C&Ks and the 510 so just have to order a board for it.



Here are the internals. Not the cleanest job but works well. I didn't use a cradle but will if I do another full size box. It would just be way easier and cleaner. I have a VTC3 in there now but I am going to order some Samsungs for the longer battery life.

I kept meaning to send you a message about the mitec switches.

Its a shame the hana cases are dead in the water especially for left handers the cloupor boards are great in comparison to a evolv dna 30 can't wait to see these boxes with DNA 40s smaller than a VS rDNA £22. @ Fasttech

Naa... Not finished

The case took ages to arrive and my dna 40 is lost somewhere between the UK and my home (since the 19th Dec) so it will take a while before I finish that box.
