Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

You should be able to get them from Mouser or Digikey but they're out of stock more often from not, it's probably down to Ebayers and ecig vendors buying them all and selling them on.
The supplier that I use in Ireland sells them for 89 cents, out of stock until April though.

I found a few places from $1.21 to .77 in qty less than 50. Shipping is flat rate of $5-$7. Best deal I could figure is 25 for $31 shipped or 40 for $38 shipped.

You can buy 1 for $1.21 from Mouser but shipping is flat rate $6.95. At 25, you get bulk pricing of $1.07. I need about 10-12 buttons but since I'm ordering, I might as well get a few extras but I don't know if I need 25. Then it's only an extra $7 for 15 more. Need some?

There's a minimum order of $30 for the place that has them cheaper so that's the 40 count price.

I just ordered 40 from HERE for $37.75 shipped.

DNA40's comes with mounting rails but you can cut it with a clipper and it will be same as DNA30's.

You might need a tap fdv 510 v4 low profile into enclosure, other than that no extra modification needed to make it flush

It's wider but it actually fits a tad better as it's practically the same width as the slot.

The FDV V4 low profile sits about .5mm below the top of the box as opposed to being flush, I think this makes it look a little nicer.

Thanks for the info guys. I need to start picking I put some items it s I sounds like. I have 22mm fatdaddy 510's, but I'm not sure if there version 4 or not. How can I tell what version they are?

Also, do the DNA40 chips with the bigger screen listed that they have the bigger screen? Is the screen the only difference in them? I read about so many issues with the DNA40 chips crapping out on people. Vapor shark was overwhelmed will returns to do this. Have they got the bugs out now? Or is this new bigger screen version supposed to be the upgraded solid version now with no issues?

The goldy edition is supposed to be the glitch free one independent of screen size... Just check if the soldering holes are gold or tin.

The V4 low profile comes with 1mm fixed non replaceable cap.

So far only 1 reported issue on big screen but it was mount to VS.
