A battery powered 510 socket ohm meter can make building a coil a lot easier. At least both hands can concentrate on the coil and the screws.

Others have posted with an ohm meter base in the picture. This is the one I have. Screw the kayfun deck into it and use both hands to build, then switch it on to check the resistance of your coil.

The kayfun is far more difficult to build than an average dripper, but by no means the most difficult. My fogger V4 is a pain in the neck to build cleanly. Have you considered some sort of stand to screw your kayfun into while building it? helps me out a lot with my fogger, and sort of gives me that third hand

Advice for those having trouble building KFL's. Buy pre-wrapped coils. Until you see what a good coil looks like you will end up with hot spots which I fought for a couple months. You can buy some real good coils off ebay, I bout 5/64 28g 1.5 ohm. These are great 1.5 ohm for the kay fun, dual coil 0.75 ohm for the drippers and there is no way I could build a coil of this quality, they are inexpensive and last a month at least. Also use KGD pads, watch the generics some are more of a paper towel than cotton avoid those. My respect for the kayfun has gone way up, flavor is incredible.
