Yes, absolutely. This forum is the busiest, most productive and helpful of any forum I've ever been on ...out of many for different topics. It truly is a jewel for those of us looking to learn. There's nothing like the voice of experience combined with a real passion for the topic.
Here is the pic. It's a bit wobbly looking still, I had to heat it a few times and it got neater. I forgot to take the pic of it wicked. I was too excited to fill it up and try it out.

There's a few good smartphone apps for coil building as well. I use an app called vape tool that has a coil calculator, juice mix calculator, and a battery database. Thanks for the link. I've been DIYing for a couple of years, but only started winding coils about a month ago. I resisted, kicking and screaming all the way, but it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Good for you! It's very liberating, isn't it!
You got real EHPro's from FastTech? How much were they? What SKU? Those are gettin' hard to find anymore...Ehpro Kayfun Lite version 2 from Fast Tech.

Good job, @Saippenu!
One suggestion, looking at the full size pic. Keep the coil on your mandrel (the rod you wrapped it on) while you attach the legs to the screws. That will help prevent the slight deformation of that final turn, and make wicking a bit easier. (Also, easier to mount the coil with it still on the rod)
Ouch. Sorry it happened.I kept it on the rod but one end came undone from the screw so I ended up fiddling with it.
So Tonight I decide to build my white Kayfun because I have a white Pico coming. It was SO comical I wish somebody with a cell phone had been handy.
I wind my coil and keep it on the rod, this time making sure that both ends are securely under each screw before removing the rod. I decide that it is ready and I want to hold it up to make sure the coil is lifted high enough off the deck so that it doesn't short out. But as I go to remove my left hand from the deck, I realize that I can't remove it ...it's like I am super glued to the deck. On closer examination I realize that I have managed to sew my left index finger to the left screw. No pain, no blood but I can clearly see the 28 awg wire going right through my skin. No big deal I think, if there's no pain or blood then it's barely under the skin and a good tug should do the trick.....but no, I cannot tug it off. I only have one hand to work with and it's gripping the Provari base. I start to feel a little panicky and call out for help ...but my boyfriend is far out in the woods using a saw and doesn't hear me so I put the Provari down and use my right hand and a pair of tweezers to unsew my finger.
Whew, that was not something I expected. I'm feeling a bit less cocky that my first coil worked so well now
Has anyone else sewed themselves to their deck? I'm guessing that it must happen sometimes since it only took me two tries to do it LOL. I have pretty small fingers but man those screws are little and the wire is sharp !!

Yeah, a little over a month ago I was using en ego battery and a kanger T3S tank LOL. I was paying $10 for 20 ML of store bought juice, which lasted me a week and $3 per coil, coils that only lasted 5 days.
Then I discovered Fast Tech thanks to these forums so only payed $1.10 per coil for the Iclear s30 that I upgraded to 4 weeks ago (paired with a new Provari) and I thought I was in heaven.
Now I DIY my own juice, which tastes better than the store bought and costs ...well I dont know what it's costing but I think it's like $1.50 maybe for 30ML? AND making my own coils which is almost free to do.
I've come a long way in just 4 weeks after returning to these forums![]()
